1991 Princess Stephanie of Monaco Recording for ITC must have taken place May 1991 – October 29, 1991. Princess Stephanie secretly records her vocals of ITC with Michael under the alias “Mystery Girl.” Brad Sundberg, integrator, on the recording sessions for Dangerous On celebrity visitors and chimps … It was not uncommon for celebrities or VIPs to stop in. One day the Secret Service searched the building for a couple hours before Nancy Reagan came for a visit. Next it was Princess Stephanie from Monaco … The chimps were common guests in the studio, as was a giant snake, both of which I would wind up holding during MJ’s vocals.
Michael confirms the rumours that the Mystery Girl is Stephanie to fans in Gstaad September 27-October 6 1993, Who is the “Mystery Girl” who sings on “In the Closet”? Princess Stephanie of Monaco, according to Black & White and MTV Australia. Michael confirmed this while speaking with fans in Gstaad in 1993. In an interview on British TV, Madonna revealed that she was the original choice to be the Mystery Girl. When Michael asked her to do a duet, she agreed, and he played a preliminary version of the song for her. She asked him if heknew what the title meant, and he said he did. Not realizing the joke, she found this very unexpected and intriguing of Michael and went home and wrote more lyrics in the spirit of the title. He didn’t like the new lyrics, so they ended up not doing the song together. Princess Stephanie took over. WMA pre show interview, May 8th 1996 SaveFrom.net Stephanie of Monaco, “He’s a very sweet and gentle person and he’s really a very kind human being.”
NY Post, 15th October 2000 At the same time, she’s having a recording studio built into her holiday home in Auron, France, and is planning a full album. She’s hoping to get the likes of Michael Jackson (who’s a sucker for princesses), Luciano Pavarotti, Bono and Mick Jagger to do duets with her. Joe Jackson’s autobiography (rough translation from German), 2004 Well all right, anyway, later Michael dated princess Stephanie of Monaco and had even secretly recorded a song with her. Certainly nobody had to find out that Stephanie was the female voice in this duet. Michael never wanted that the public found out too much about them women he was interested in. And since his private life is all out there, you can’t blame him for it. Then (by 1993) Michael already for a long time has finished the relationship with Tatum O’Neil, Brooke Shields, the young dancer, Stephanie of Monaco and some other women. When he has flown to Monaco to the World Music Awards with June Chandler, he has taken all three of them with himself and introduced them to the Princess Stephanie. Stephanie, French Interview on RadioMonaco , 15th July 2009 SaveFrom.net Summary (thanks to tb24 on LSA) She says MJ heard one of her albums and chose her because he felt she had the type of voice he was looking for for the speaking part of ITC She thought it was a joke when her manager said MJ wanted her to record the song. They actually weren’t together long for the recording session. She arrived in LA in the evening, met with him and discussed what he wanted from her for the singing/speaking, recorded it the next day, and then she left LA that evening. Originally the reason that she was not named on the recording was because there was supposed to be a contest to figure out who the mystery girl was. This concept basically went out the window when Naomi (who she said was friends with Quincy Jones) was cast in the video. She was quite bothered by this back then because, as a youngish aspiring artist, it would’ve been a great boost to her career for it to have been publically known she was the girl on ITC. She was concerned back then that people would assume that since Naomi was in the video that it was her on the recording. You can tell she’s a bit bitter about this…she basically said something like ‘This is why Naomi and I aren’t great girlfriends.” She was joking, but not really… When asked by the interviewer what he was like, she spoke a lot about how touching and extemely sensitive and vulnerable he was. That he’s the kind of person you easily get attached to. She said that “you just want to hold him strongly in your arms and tell him that everthing will be alright, to reassure him.” The interviewer said ”like a child?” and she responded, ”Worse than a child. He was an ”écorché vif” (He had his heart on a sleeve), I felt this enormous sensibility. It’s a wonderful memory.” But she also said that it was in part becasuse of this sensitivity and vulnerability that he had such talent. She said she only saw him briefly at the WMAs in 96. She said he seemed ill at ease and uncomfortable. I think she speculated that it was because of what was going on in his life at that time…she didn’t elaborate on what she was alluding to. Regardless of the issues around the recording, she said it was a wonderful experience and she was honored to work with him She said it was hard speaking about him in the past tense.

ИНТЕРВЬЮ ТАТЬЯНЫ BET Interview, sometime 1993-1994BET Announcer: Some of you remember the recent BET special where you, the public, had a chance to ask the Jackson family anything. Well, most of you wanted to know about Michael Jackson’s love life. Actress Tatiana says Michael Jackson is all man. Woman on the street: This question is for Jermaine since you seem to be the closest. Has Michael Jackson ever had a girlfriend? Jermaine: Yes, Yes, Yes. There was Tatiana that he was very close to. Tatiana: The first day I met Michael and we were actually introduced, he reached his hand out and said hi to me and we shook hands. I was just so overwhelmed (smiling). Tatiana: One of the first sparks was a scene in which I had to run through an old car and Michael chases me and by the third run through my heel had gotten stuck in the car upholstrey and I got stuck and the director said ‘Keep it goin’, keep it goin’ don’t stop’ Well, Michael put his hand on my leg to help me get unstuck and I uh, freaked out a little (smiling and glowing) bit and pulled away, and I uh, I ended up outside the car on my bottom. And as I had gotten up to continue with the scene, Michael had grabbed me and had actually started to wipe my bottom off. Tatiana: He’s very romantic ’cause he’s so sensitive and caring. Tatiana: His touch…his hugs…his kisses. I fell in love. Michael is not gay, he is not some kind of freak that the media wants to portray him as lately (very sad, angry look). Tatiana: (She looks directly in the camera with a very sexy look) As far as his masculinity is concerned (arches her eyebrow and lowers her head) believe me, he is. BET Announcer: Tatiana says she still loves Michael and just wants people to know how special he really is. 1997, Extract from “Once More With Feeling” To this day I have no idea what I did that was so terrible, but that was the end of the tour for me. I was not asked back when the Bad tour went on to several cities. Sheryl Crow took my place.
I went home and cried incredibly hard, over both the lost opportunity and over losing Michael. His mother, Katherine, was also puzzled by what happened. She later invited me several times to the Jackson compound in Encino and we talked at length. She told me that when we were shooting the video, Michael had asked her what he should do with me. He had told her how much he liked me and that he had feeling for me. She had told him to express himself, to tell me about his feelings.
He never did tell me anything of the kind, although several others in his camp – bodyguards, secretaries, and writers – had let me know. The only explanation I could fathom was that Michael’s top managers must have seen me as a threat. The Bad tour was one of the most successful promotions of his career, and the people working for him did not want anything to mess it up, especially a relationship with some girl they hardly knew.
Perhaps they thought of me as someone who, like a crazed fan, imagined herself being lovers with the superstar. Michael had done a music video of “Dirty Diana” with a similar storyline. To me, however, the feelings between us had always seemed very mutual. I felt a bond with him. Maybe it was because he, too, seemed to want to think of the world as color blind. Perhaps, however, I was naïve or mistaken or read too much into some of the things that happened between Michael and me. Even if that is so, I always behaved in a completely professional manner. Unfortunately, being fired from that tour had terrible repercussions for me both psychologically and professionally. I hope I will be able to put the experience behind me someday and go on, but for years it has haunted me. Certainly it illustrates how show business, money, and greed can keep apart two people who care for each other. Encino, 1989 Joseph Jackson Misguides My Career After leaving the Michael Jackson tour, Joseph Jackson, Michael’s father, wanted to sign me to a management contract. Like Michael’s mother, he also sympathized with me and didn’t like what had happened to me on the tour. When he proposed that he become my manager, I hoped he might really be able to help me. I had never had any problems getting contracts with agents or managers but finding one who could really build my career seemed to be the real challenge. I knew that Joseph was quite the ladies’ man, but he never tried to have his way with me. At the time we met he had a little Asian girl under contract, to whom he paid a lot of attention – unfortunately more than he ended up paying to me professionally.
After a while I realized that Joseph wasn’t going to be able to help me. In fact, I suspected that being under contract to him was probably hurting my career. All I wanted was to get out from under his control, but everyone to whom I showed the contract, including agents and lawyers, told me I was locked in. They said I needed a high-powered attorney with connections, but I had neither the money nor the clout to get one. Tatianas response to the recent article on MSNBC.com, August 17th, 2004 “My heart goes out to Michael and his family. I wish them nothing but the very best. Nevertheless, there has been much curiosity on my past with the pop star, and many journalists have been unfair and unkind in their interpretation in telling the story. That is why I choose to tell my experiences with the pop star myself and in my own words. I hope that my book will shed some light on the truth when it comes to my feelings towards him. To Michael, may god bless you!” - Interview by MJNewsOnline, December 15th, 2004, How did you set out on your career in modelling? I got into modeling on a fluke. I was scouted out one day while in ballet class, at The School Of American Ballet. It was Barry Lategan, (who discovered Twiggy in the early 60′s) who hired me for a special spread In Modern Bride Magazine. The spread featured ballerinas on point. It was the flame that sparked my modeling career. Several months later I met Antonio Lopez, a famous fashion Illustrator. Antonio took my modeling career to the next level, teaching me everything I needed to know and even introducing me to my future agent. I signed with the Ford Agency only to be dropped a week later. Because, they just didn’t know what do with me. They told me, “Your not black enough and your not white enough, Eileen doesn?t know what to do with you, stick with Antonio.” I was stunned and saddened by this. I was warned by Janice Dickinson not to sign with them but I didn’t listen to her. Sure enough…….Janice was right. Anyway, things turned out fine as I signed with the Zoli Agency a week later. And I even scored a contract to model in Japan becoming one of their biggest models for the next five years. How were you approached to appear in Michael’s “The Way You Make Me Feel” video? I was approached to appear In MJ’s video “The Way You Make Me Feel” through my agent Julie at JHR. Supposedly, I auditioned with 200 other girls. I believe it was my destiny though. It had been my dream for many, many years to meet and work with Michael. In fact, I actually let the opportunity of meeting him slip through my hands, (in the early 80′s ) while en route to an audition living In New York. And yes, I mentioned it to Michael while shooting the video. He even asked me why I didn’t stop and say anything to him. I replied that I was too shy and couldn’t figure out what to say. Has your work with Michael influenced you professionally? If so, how? His professionalism influenced me and also his perfectionism. We definitely have that one in common. He was the utmost professional. I loved watching him work. Tell us a little of your experiences on Michael’s “Bad” tour. My experiences on the Bad tour were unfortunately “BAD” and I don’t mean the bad as in slang terms. I mean Bad as in terrible. For the most part I was lonely and bored, except of course when I was on stage and saw Michael. I felt as though I was some sort of Barbie doll that they took out of the box when they needed to show it off. But, I kept getting all of these reports that Michael was in love with me. He even reported that to the media at one point. It was confusing and lonely to be me. Do you recall any funny anecdotes whilst working with Michael? One of my funniest anecdotes that I can remember was when Michael asked me If he could use some of my face powder. I was honored in obliging this request, but when he used it he went to town with the stuff. As if there was no tomorrow. I wanted to crack up but didn’t dare to out of fear he’d take it the wrong way. It was a cute site to see. You have a new book out, “The Way He Made Me Feel”, tell us a little about it. My book has been a work In progress, believe me! You can ask my friend and business partner Tonia Ryan. We have worked on it for two years now. And even longer for me, as I wrote it back in 1991. This is my Auto-Biography and it derived from my journal while living In Los Angeles. I hope it will be educational to those with stars in their eyes and a dream in their hearts. I truely believe that we are all put here to not only learn from our lessons but to give back to others. I hope my book does that. Because this girl learned “A Lot” and I have a lot to offer. It has been reported that you and Michael have had a ‘falling out’ over the years, what is your response to that? Going into writing my book this was one of the reasons why I wanted my story out their. So people would no longer speculate. I have had my words sliced and diced and have even been misquoted. So, I figured who better to tell my story than me? After all….I lived it! Not anyone else. And still I have had fans and foes bombard me with questions on MJ and my past. It’s time for me to put my story out their and move on. Michael and I never had a falling out and if we did…..I was unaware of It. In fact, his mother Katherine tried many times for us to get together and speak and it just never happened. He has never given me his ear. But, I do believe there are some misunderstandings from our past. As his family and I believed there were others in his camp keeping us apart. Everything happens in life for a reason. God doesn’t make mistakes. I put my trust “completely” in my Lord. As you know, this interview is being conducted for the fans of Michael Jackson. Is there anything you would like to say to them? I would like to tell the fans…….to “Always Keep Your Dreams Alive” and to always believe in yourself because anything is possible if you just “Believe.” 20th Dec, 2004, Interview with MJJForum
Say what you want about Tatiana, but she has been where many fans wish they could go. She has worked with and dated Michael Jackson! Tatiana Thumbtzen has written a book titled “The Way He Made Me Feel”. It not only explains her relationship with Michael, but it also goes into other important events of her life. Dip into our conversation… Lei: I just want you to know that I have been a fan of yours since your appearance in Michael’s video (The Way You Make Me Feel)! You and Mike looked great together. I was actually thrilled when I “heard” that you two were dating! Some fans still don’t believe that’s true? Would you like to elaborate on that? Tatiana: This is the question that I get asked the most. This is actually one of the main reasons that I decided to write my book The Way He Made Me Feel. This is not something that I can answer in a few lines because I have chapters dedicated in detail about the experiences between Michael and me. I will tell you that Michael reported to the media, to members in his camp, and to his mother Katherine that he loved me. Lei: I was always looking around and hoping I would see you pop up in another music video, movie, or something. I have seen all your television appearances and managed to find your website by just typing your name into a search engine. You even made me realize that a woman was sexy as hell in a black dress and boots! Any thoughts on that? Tatiana: I had many disappointments while living in L.A. after doing the video. I went through much turmoil and distress. Fortunately, I chose to write about it all, it was extremely cathartic. Hence, my book was born. I tried getting a book deal and did, except it turned out to be a disappointment and a lesson. I also did an interview with a tabloid and basically learned the hard way that they were going to tell my story their way. Big mistake, but we live and learn – that’s what life’s about. So, I kept the hope and dream that someday I would do my own book “My Way.” As for the dress and boots…..well, it was the look I put together for the initial audition. It worked as Michael liked the look, from what I was told. Lei: I know that you’ve done “Beat Street”, a music video for Levert, and liquor ad campaigns, but tell us what else you’ve done before the video with Michael? What have you been doing since? Tatiana: Before working on the video with Michael, I had done several modeling jobs with my then agent Nina Blanchard. I did a campaign for Billy Dee Williams eye wear and an appearance on Hotel – a hot TV show at the time. Before that I lived in New York, which is where I grew up. While living in New York I had done my first video shoot with Herbie Hancock. It was his follow up album, (after his big hit with “Rockit”) titled Hard Rock. That prepared me in many ways and it was a blast. Prior to that, I modeled for five years in Japan. Since I left L.A. in 1996, I have been focusing on my many projects I hope to bring to fruition, and learning from people and life itself. Lei: You were one of the writers for “Once More With Feeling”, which by the way I can’t find at the local library and haven’t had the pleasure of reading it…yet! How does “The Way He Made Me Feel” differ from what you wrote in “Once More…”? Tatiana: Once More with Feeling was a “great” disappointment. They wrote the story in their words and they focused on the stories that interested them. They were even selective about the other stories. I didn’t like this project. My book is the real thing. It’s in my “own words” and I tell the reader about all my crazy experiences and how heartfelt and confusing they all were. It is “My Autobiography”. Not a kiss and tell and not a tell all. It takes you on a bit of a journey, from me as a little girl and all the dreams I believed in, to real life and dealing with show business. And yes, it expresses the great love I had for Michael, although I have moved on with my life and my feelings for him. I will always wish him nothing but the very best; a small part of me will always care. Lei: Are you single? Any kids? Tatiana: No, I am not married and I do not have any kids. It would have been nice but it just hasn’t happened that way. The last time I dated was three years ago – he was a Miami police officer and he basically broke my heart into shreds. So, I have totally focused on my work and projects. Maybe someday the Lord will bring the right guy into my life, it would be nice. I have learned a lot and have been through a lot so it will definitely have to be someone mature, confidant, and sophisticated and has his own thing going on. But, I do pray a wonderful man will come along someday. Lei: Are you recognized as “That Girl from the Michael Jackson video?” If so, has this been a career killer or thriller? Tatiana: Unfortunately it was a career killer being “The Girl from The MJ Video”. For some reason casting agents couldn’t look beyond it. It hurt me a lot professionally; I lost work all the time. I am still recognized to this day and still there is this big curiosity and bombardment of questions. My partner Tonia saw this when we first met after being around me for a while. With the intrigue still lingering over me makes me even happier to know that people can just buy the book and leave me alone, (he! he!). 24th January, 2005, Tatiana Thumbtzen, the featured dancer in Michael Jackson’s 1988 video for “The Way You Make Me Feel” and the first woman to kiss him in public, admits in her forthcoming book, “The Way He Made Me Feel,” that she lied to Howard Stern and Maury Povich about having a romantic relationship with the singer back in 1993 when he first faced allegations of child molestation. She also describes Jackson’s obsession with child actors like Macaulay Culkin and Ricky Schroder. Her co-author, Tonia Ryan, said in a statement, “You do the math.” The book is due out February 14.
Contact Music 24 February, 2005 “I pulled him close and as I was about to kiss him I felt the hand on my hip and before I knew it we were locked into this kiss.” But the dream of dating a pop superstar as she toured the world with him were shattered when Jackson dumped her. She recalls, “My dates just went by. A friend calls me, Michael’s stand-in, and tells me, ‘What’s going on? I’m really concerned about you.’ “He says, ‘You’ve been replaced. Sheryl Crow is doing your number…’ My world was shattered.” But Jackson’s publicists insist Thumbtzen’s tale, as told to US news show ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT, is fiction. A spokesman says, “This is just someone else out trying to capitalise on Michael Jackson’s name.”

They meet at a dermatology clinic in 1981, It was 30 years ago that Rowe, a nursing assistant in the office of Dr. Arnold Klein, a Beverly Hills, Calif., dermatologist, first met one of his famed clients — Michael Jackson. “I go ‘Hi’. And he goes ‘Hi,’ and I said, ‘You know what? Nobody does what you do better, and nobody does what I do better. Let’s get this over with.’ And he laughed, and we just became friends. It was just right away,” said Rowe in a 2003 interview. (Bashir Part 2, 2003) Testimony From 2005 What kind of work was that that you were doing for Mr. Klein? A. He’s a dermatologist. I was an assistant for him. Q. For what period of time were you his assistant? 10 A. From 1979 to 2000 or 2001. 11 Q. What kind of work did you do for Mr. – 12 Dr. Klein? 13 A. I assisted him with surgeries and patients. 15 Q. When did you first meet Michael? 16 A. In the .80s. 17 Q. And how did you meet Michael? 18 A. Through my office when I worked with Dr. 19 Klein. 20 Q. Okay. And what was your position with Dr. 21 Klein at the time? 22 A. I was an assistant. 23 Q. And Michael went to Dr. Klein for various 24 treatments, right? 25 A. Yes. 26 Q. And do you recall when he first went to Dr. 27 Klein? 28 A. Yes. The very first day, yes. I was not 8020 1 his nurse then. Reginas Santos, MJ’s Publicist Statement 5 November 1996 “To avoid any further inaccurate reports in the media and tabloid press, Michael Jackson announces today that his longtime close friend of 15 years, Debbie Rowe, is pregant and will have his child in early 1997.” Arnold Klein, July 8th 2009 KING: Now, the Debbie Rowe part of the story. She was your nurse, right? KLEIN: Yes. KING: They met, I guess, in your office? KLEIN: Yes.
Debbie and Klein accompany him on a few dates of the Bad Tour, Gothenburg, Germany, July 11-12 1988
20 I did go to the last concert in Gutenberg [color=#008000]g), I 21 think on the tour previous to that. Because 22 Gutenberg wasn't on the “Dangerous” tour. Teddy Riley says MJ spoke to him about Debbie, Dangerous recording sessions took place between June 25, 1990 - October 29, 1991. "Pleasing the kids, that's all I want to do," Riley, 30, says with a sheepish smile in the dressing room moments later.I just get joy from doing the music," he continues as he and his group mates--Chauncey Hannibal, Mark Middleton and Eric Williams--watch other "All That" segments on monitors and munch on soul food from Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles. But as he speaks, it becomes clear that there's more to it than that. I wrote 'Remember the Time' when Michael {Jackson} told me about falling in love with {Debbie Rowe}, the woman he just married. I don't know why he didn't marry her the first time around. That's why songs like that, and Bobby Brown's ' My Prerogative,' are still relevant, cause they speak about their lives and the lives of others. My songs are just a soundtrack for life. Michael includes Debbie in a painting, 1991 Apocalyptic scene with portrait of Michael Jackson in armor. Oil on panel, signed and dated 1991.

Interview with Cowan, the painter 10. The woman in the white dress: ‘He told me he was seeing this nurse about something and that something magic was going to happen. What was happening was she (Debbie Rowe) was carrying the babies or they were making the deal to do it, so I painted a nurse that looks like an angel.’ Debbie Rowe (Interview with KNBC November 28 1997) Interviewer: Having the baby was her idea. It was a subject that was talked about before Jackson's marriage to Lisa Marie Presley. Debbie: He did love her very, very much, still does. Still cares about her very, very much. But, um, it didn't work out. And, uh, he was devastated. Interviewer: After the divorce, Debbie, who met Jackson while working in a Dr's Office again brought up the subject of children. Debbie: Well, I said, I said, you know, my offer still stands.... Interviewer: So, if you want to be a parent .... Debbie: So I said, I said...If you want to be a daddy...I want to do it. Tonya Watt's, a friend of Debbie Rowe's, Me and Micheal Jackson’s wife Let me start by saying Michael Jackson was truly my first love. I will admit my madness for him did not start until Thriller. It was Christmas time when the video came out. I will never forget watching it on Christmas Eve. I tried to learn every move and so did everyone else (admit it).. I had posters all over my room.. and when BAD came out I had this Cardboard huge picture of him from the Album cover. I got it from the record store in the mall. It was behind my bed and he was always with me. I will also have to add to this story that I really did get into fights with people espeically in high school.. decade or more since the BAD album. I hated when people made of fun of him and they pissed me off and they picked on me about it.. Even one teacher use to always give me a hard time. I was a Michael Jackson advocate (still am)..One time I told my teacher if he didn’t stop I was going to stand in the hall.. LOL! but I was really mad..just so you know.. Moving on...When I moved to Los Angeles. I moved in to an apartment in Van Nuys, California. The lady across the hall was super cool. She knocked on our door very often. She would soon become a big part of my life. I can still say to this day I have never met anyone quite like her. She was something else. It wasn’t very long before she told us how close she was to Michael Jackson. She worked for his dermatologist and had known him for many years. Well, I have to admit I did not believe her. I figured she was some crazy lady and a liar. She said he gave her the vehicle she drove and that she is very good friends with him. I soon find myself in her modest apartment looking at all of the proof I needed, to know that she was telling the truth. I told her all about my love story. Over the next two years we become very good friends. I can remember one day answering her phone and it was him.. wow! I recognized his voice and flipped out.. I had already met him by this time so he knew who I was. He asked her" if that was that country girl" Very Cool.. So yes, I did meet him once.. alot of people don’t believe me and others don’t care. LOL! Either way it happen.. and it was something very special to me and I will never forget it. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for him. I also know he is innocent so whatever.. don’t piss me off about that shit either.. ha ha Debbie and Arnold accompany him on the Dangerous World Tour, 1992 What was the first tour that you went on 7 with Michael? 8 A. “Dangerous.” 9 Q. And approximately when was that? 10 A. I don't remember. That was -- all those 11 tours. And they all just ran together, because it 12 was a long schedule. 13 Q. Okay. Was it in the .80s or .90s; do you 14 know? 15 A. I think it was in the early .90s. 16 Q. Okay. And where did that tour go to? 17 A. I think it started in Bangkok, and went 18 throughout Asia, Japan, Singapore. Then there was a 19 break. And then it went to Europe. 20 I did go to the last concert in Gutenberg [color=#339966]g), I 21 think on the tour previous to that. Because 22 Gutenberg wasn't on the “Dangerous” tour. 23 Q. And were you traveling with Michael along 24 with his physician? 25 A. Yes. 26 Q. Okay. And you then went on another tour 27 after that? 28 A. Yes. Michael enters rehab, November 12 1993 'When he went into the rehab, I remember that Debbie was so, so relived.' says Tonya Boyd. 'When Michael got out of rehab he started dating Lisa Marie. But he never stopped seeing Debbie, even after he married Lisa Marie.' “I know when Michael was addicted, Debbie stayed on the telephone for hours and hours, pleading with him to save himself”, says Debbie's friend Tonya Boyd. “She told me that she said: 'If you die, I will be crushed. I wouldn't be able to survive it. You are my very life'.” (Daily Record) Debbie and Arnold Klein testify that Michael has vitiligo and lupus at the deposition in early 1994 20 Q. I mean, your first time you ever met Mr. 21 Sneddon was the early .90s, wasn't it? 22 A. I don't remember. I remember I did a 23 deposition. I thought it was for a woman. I don't 24 remember. I don't remember any of that part. I 25 tend to block out unpleasantries. I don't remember 26 any of that part. I don't remember if Mr. Sneddon 27 was there or not. 28 Q. Magic/Madness, 1995 Lisa Marie's friend Monica Pastelle says: 'I recall Lisa telling me that Michael was trying to make her believe he was interested in a white nurse who worked for his dermatologist. Lisa just laughed it off. She thought Michael was trying to make her jealous, just playing games.' 'But it was true, just the same: Michael was seeing Debbie Rowe while he was married to Lisa,' says Monica Pastelle. 'And Lisa knew it. At one point, she and Debbie had a tense telephone conversation during which Lisa said: "Look, nursey. I'm sorry that you're in love with my husband. But he's mine. So get lost". 'Afterwards, Lisa burst out laughing. She said: "Can you imagine? Me acting like the jealous little wife because Michael's wet nurse -or whatever she is- is in love with him. What is this craziness?" ' Debbie on set of YANA, Tonya Watt's Myspace, July 12 1995 So She took me to Gower Studio where he was shooting a music video. He works at night so we went around 11pm. I was so nervous (only he and Dolly would make me nervous).. We arrivedand his body guards led us to a trailer. She went in and left me outside of the trailer for a while. Finally, she opened the door and called me in.. She said "Michael this is Tonya Tonya this is Michael". he shook my hand.. and I said the dumbest shit ever... " "should I faint now or later" giggle giggle.. He then said "listen to her laugh.". so I sat in the corner in a chair while she, Michael and the makeup artist all carry on while he is getting his makeup done... not many people can say they have done that.. he is very private about his make up affairs ha ha Off to the set we went... I was so shy and trailed behind.. He stopped and waited on me.. Such a gentleman.. We did go in his personal trailer and there was candy all over the place..just as I would have imagined . We soon had to leave cuz Lisa Marie was on her way. She was in that video and well, it was time to go.. Neverland..... I also got to go to Neverland with her. It was wild.. He was not there but his spirit was and it was amazing.. It was so surreal walking thru his home... with such an inviting staff treating us awesome... Baby! Wow! One day she starts telling me she was planning on having him a baby! How did I find myself in Michael Jackson’s world (sort of).. She told me this way before she was ever pregnant . I have to admit even still. I was not sure if she was telling the truth. This is just getting too far fetched.. LOL! Your gonna have his baby and give it to him. Well, she was telling the truth. That’s exactly what she did two times. Funny thing is I have never told anyone this.. except me and my family laugh about it. I’m just saying:: I have a neice name PARIS.. She loved Paris’s name.. when my neice and nephew visisted from Alabama. She arranged it with MJ for us to all go to Neverland..Well we always joke and say thats where they got the name PARIS.. My lady friend did tell me that one time.. but who would believe me so nevermind doesn’t matter anyway. July 31-August 6, 1995 After an argument with Lisa Marie, Michael flies to Disneyland Paris and doesn’t see or speak to Lisa Marie for 6 weeks. She tells Rolling Stone in 2003: “He got upset and he would just disappear.” Lisa, Playboy, June 2003 PLAYBOY: Did you and Michael discuss having kids? PRESLEY: Yeah. [Laughs] I got out of that one. “I just don’t think it’s a good idea right now.” But I knew that’s what he wanted. And I knew Debbie Rowe was offering to do it for him while we were married, according to him. She was a nurse who had a crush on him and offered to have his babies. PLAYBOY: Was he trying to leverage you into agreeing? PRESLEY: Kind of. “Debbie Rowe says she’ll do it.” Ok, have Debbie Rowe do it! And it’s funny, when I imagined having a child with him, all I could ever see was a custody battle nightmare. November 3 1996 Media learn about Debbie Rowe’s pregnancy. Tonya Watt’s Myspace on the story breaking,
When the story broke that she was having his baby! The madness of Micheal Jackson’s life had landed in mine and let’s just say it was not pretty.. I was managing the bldg by this time… News trucks, paparazzi, you name it.. they were lined up outside our building and it was a big ol fat trip. Then everyone that lived in the building started getting phone calls from Hardcopy, Extra, Entertainment Tonight, British shows, papers. How they got our phone numbers is still beyond me. She started neeeding a body guard and could not leave her home. His life is sad and I get it now. I only tasted a peanut! Then there was the night that she got a call from Hardcopy ttelling her that an Xfriend of hers was coming out saying some bad things. They told her if she would do the interview they would not run the negative one. Somehow I find myself in my bathroom gagging over the toilet. My nerves were about to have a heart attack.. ha ha What is going on? There are cameras in my living room.. and I am being interviewed with very strict guidelines of what I can and cannot say.. I hated it.. How did I find myself speaking on her behalf about her and Michael Jackson. I still have a copy of it. I can’t even watch it .. embarrassing. The whole thing really turned out a big heart ache. Before it was all over noone in our building trusted each other. Someone stole a picture of her and MJ out of her apartment and sold it. She didn’t know who to trust and our building became bad energy.. I moved soon after and so did she. She will always have a soft spot in my heart! weird.. many many years later I am now really good friends with his manager from back in the day. Random, I met him thru music.. in Nashville…So now I know two people that know him very closely and another reason I know he is innocent…….Just saying! MJ I love you! forever! If I had a son… he could come over and play cuz I trust you! I listen to my heart and my instincts are always right.. so fuckem… She did end up becoming his wife and then they later divorced…. I kept her dogs while she went out of town to marry him.. ok true story whatever.. ha ha Magic/Madness, November 3 1996 “At the time when the story broke, Debbie was supposed to meet him in Australia”, said Tonya Boyd. “She presumed that the trip would be off, that Michael would be so upset about what had happened that he would refuse to see her. She cried a lot that day.” The day the story of Debbie’s pregnancy broke, Michael’s mother Katherine tracked Debbie down at her friend Tonya Boyd’s house where she was hiding. ‘I picked up the telephone, hoping it was Michael calling for Debbie from Australia, and this woman said: “Would you please put Miss Rowe on the phone?” ‘I thought it was a reporter, so I said: “She’s not here.” And the woman said: “Well this is Michael Jackson’s mother. I simply must find her.” Iimmediately handed Debbie the phone.’ Katherine was, as Debbie’s friend put it, ‘sweet as pie to her’, and talked for an hour about the sanctity of marriage, and the Jehovah’s Witness faith which she believed in so passionately. Debbie, say friends, was impressed. In fact, by the end of the conversation, she had agreed that not only should she convince Michaelto marry … she was practically ready to convert to the Jehovah’s Witness faith. When Michael found out that Katherine and Debbie had spoken he probably suspected that his life was about to change. Then, when Katherinefinally managed to get her superstar son on the telephone -according to what Michael told one of his managers- Katherine wept and told him to marry ‘that nice girl, Debbie’ and ‘give your child a name’. Katherine pushed all the right buttons or, as one Jackson associate puts it, ‘she played him like a fiddle’. ‘Finally’, says a source close to the singer, ‘Michael agreed that he should marry Debbie Rowe. “It’s definitely the right thing to do,’ he said” ‘ Nov 7, 1996 The LA-based, British-run, Splash news agency is very smug about breaking the Michael Jackson baby story with London’s News of the World under the noses of us Yanks. “We’ve been working on the story for 2 1/2 months. Our source told us originally that (Debbie Rowe) is having his baby, but it was us who established it was true,” says Splash partner Kevin Smith. Video of the woman, a blond nurse who helped treat Jackson for his skin disease, has been sold around the world by Splash, including to Hard Copy and Geraldo Rivera this week. News of the World broke the story Sunday, after confirming Splash’s information. November 7th 1996 The nervous nurse who is bearing Michael Jackson’s glove-child may be cracking under the media glare. Debbie Rowe has been dodging reporters ever since word of her peculiar pregnancy leaked out. And worried pals yesterday said a 37-year-old woman in her condition should be taking it easy. “I’m very worried about her right now,” Tonya Watts told “Hard Copy” last night. “I’m worried that the stress might be affecting her.” “I don’t think she was ready” for all the attention, added Kevin Forrest, who along with Watts lives in the same Los Angeles apartment complex as Rowe. As for the 38-year-old Jackson, Watts said, “Michael is actually very normal.” “Everyone has a hard time seeing they are normal, two normal friends,” she said of the soon-to-be parents. Jackson announced this week that Rowe was pregnant with his child, and denied reports that she was artificially inseminated. But the mascara-wearing superstar has been unable to dodge suspicion that the pregnancy like his failed marriage to Lisa Marie Presley is an attempt to repair a public image that was damaged by accusations that he molested a 13-year-old boy. Jackson insists he’s innocent. Watts insisted the pregnancy was for real. “She didn’t break it to us until recently,” said Watts. “I mean we are all neighbors and great friends, and we have hung out a lot. But she would never tell us who the child belonged to.” “She is very excited to give Michael something he has always wanted,” she added. “It’s like a dream come true.” Rowe was quoted in the tab as saying that she and the Gloved One had sex but didn’t conceive. “Michael then said that artificial insemination would be a foolproof way of doing it and he was proven right,” she reportedly said. Splash, November 7, 1996 How Splash confirmed it: “(Rowe) told us in her own words, but she didn’t know she was talking to us.” A deceptive tactic? “We call it investigative journalism,” says (Stuart) Smith. He says he met Rowe, but won’t say how. “She really is Michael Jackson’s best friend,” he says, but adds that the two aren’t romantically involved. “Theirs is a brotherly-sisterly love.” Says News of the World’s Stuart White: “She didn’t do this for monetary gain, but monetary gain will result. She made it clear her role is to deliver (the baby) to Jackson after three to four weeks. It will be looked after by two nannies hired by Jackson.” November 8 What is the origin of the stories that Michael’s baby was conceived by artificial insemination and that MJ paid his wife, Debbie Rowe-Jackson, to have the child? In early November 1996, the London tabloid, News of the World, claimed that Debbie Rowe-Jackson had conceived Michael’s child through artificial insemination at the Los Angeles Fertility Institute and was being paid $500,000 to have the baby. The tabloid further claimed that Rowe-Jackson would surrender custody to Michael and would retain only visiting rights. The New York Daily News quoted neighbors of Debbie’s, Kevin Forrest and Tonya Watts, as saying that she had told them she was having the child out of friendship, but it was a natural conception. The News of the World countered by publishing what they said was an interview with Debbie’s father, Gordon Rowe, in which he said she told him in a phone call that the child was conceived by artificial insemination. The December 2, 1996 issue of People magazine quoted a neighbor and “pal”, Mary Colandro, as also saying Rowe-Jackson was “having the baby for Michael as a friend” though it was a natural conception. On November 4, 1996, Michael Jackson confirmed that he was indeed to become a father, but called rumors that the mother was artificially inseminated “completely false and irresponsible” and denied he had paid Rowe-Jackson to have the child. Nevertheless, the tabloid stories were picked up and repeated around the globe by mainstream news outlets until they gained a dubious legitimacy in the mind of the public. Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe were married on November 14, 1996, in Sydney, Australia. Reports soon followed in the Australian tabloids that Debbie was asking for a divorce. At length, tired of immodest speculation in the media, Michael and Debbie issued a press release on January 6, 1997, in which they said, “Deborah has been extremely upset by the flagrant fabrications and utter lies that have been published about her and the false statements attributed to her father which he never made. Deborah’s father supports her decisions 100 percent. Not inclined to respond to false and vicious reports, Deborah is adamant about again setting the record straight that Michael is the father of the child, the pregnancy is not the result of artificial means, that she has not been paid to have Michael’s baby, and that she is not seeking or filing for a divorce.” (San Jose Mercury News, People, Entertainment Wire) “It was not an accident,” says Kevin Forrest, a neighbor of Rowe’s. “Michael wanted to have a child. And when Lisa Marie wouldn’t… well, it was not an accident. Debbie wanted to do this for Michael.” Saturday, November 9th 1996 The woman who is carrying Michael Jackson’s baby has told friends that the King of Pop’s marriage to Lisa Marie Presley broke up because she wouldn’t have his child. Friends of Debbie Rowe, a 37-year-old divorced California nurse, said she took on the task of bearing Jackson’s baby purely out of friendship and that she expects little in return and will let him raise the child. “It was not an accident,” said Kevin Forrest, a neighbor of Rowe’s. “This was a planned pregnancy. Michael wanted to have a child for some time. And when Lisa Marie wouldn’t. . . . It was not an accident.” “[Debbie] wanted to do this for Michael,” he added. “He’s ecstatic. She’s proud and happy to be able to do this for him. She loves him as a friend. It’s her dearest relationship.” Forrest’s wife, Tonya Watts, said Rowe was hurt by reports that Jackson was paying her $500,000 to have the child through artificial insemination. “This is a natural conception. Debbie finds it amazing that people won’t believe that. She told me two years ago, ‘Michael likes girls,’ ” Watts said. Forrest said the baby “will be raised by Michael. She doesn’t want to have control of it. She said she did this for Michael. They’ll continue the same visiting relationship they’ve always had. “Debbie denied receiving any money,” he added. “He’s not handing her a check. Obviously he’ll take care of the medical expenses. She can’t afford that.” Rowe, a shy and decidedly unglamorous divorcee who lives with her two dogs in a luxury apartment building in Van Nuys, Calif., has been in hiding since news of her impending motherhood brought scores of reporters to her door. Forrest and Watts said they noticed that Rowe was “showing” but didn’t say anything. When word broke, Rowe was so upset, “she cried. She cried for three or four days straight,” said Watts. “She didn’t want anyone to know until the baby was born. She’s not Madonna. She’s not used to this, the paparazzi.” So far Rowe has kept mum, but Jackson has confirmed that she is carrying Michael Jackson Jr., and a British tabloid says it has tapes of her in which she waxes ecstatic about the child. Rowe and Jackson met in 1985 when he arrived at her work place the Beverly Hills clinic of Dr. Arnold Klein, dermatologist to the stars. Jackson was seeking treatment for vitiligo, a skin condition that whitens the skin. Rowe’s three-year marriage was starting to crumble and would end in divorce in 1990. November 14 1996
Concert in Sydney . After the show, just after midnight (thurs on the 15th) , Michael marries Debbie Rowe in the presidential suit of the Sheraton-on-the-Park Hotel. He denies in a press release the news reports claiming that Debbie has been artificially inseminated. Magic/Madness 14 November 1996 They were duly married at a hotel between Michael’s touring commitments. Afterwards, it was rumoured that Debbie Rowe received $1 million to give birth to Michael’s son Prince Michael Jnr. However, according to a reliable sources in the Jackson camp, Rowe actually received $500,000 - and not to give birth but rather as a ‘wedding gift’. Any story that she has a contract with Michael Jackson, and that she has received millions of dollars to bear his children, is simply untrue. Indeed no document has ever surfaced to support the rumour. ‘None of it is true,’ Debbie said when pressed to confirm stories of a deal. ‘ Why won’t people believe me? I would never have his children for money. I am doing it because I am his dear friend. ‘They’re adults,’ Tonya Boyd explains. ‘Say what you want, have any judgement you like about it, but it’s their life, and they get to live it whatever way they choose.’ ‘They are cordial when they see each other,’ says Tonya Boyd. ‘Like many couples, they have an arrangement that works for them. No one can understand another person’s relationship, I guess. Not really.’ Nov 14, 1996 Michael Jackson was still married to Lisa Marie Presley when he first started trying to have a baby with a secret girlfriend!
His lover, Debbie Rowe, says sleeping with Michael was “the weirdest experience of my life” – because his idea of foreplay was to put on a horse’s head or a suit of armour!
But bedding the Gloved One was a thriller, adds the pretty medical assistant – calling Michael an “incredible” lover who left her exhausted. Debbie also revealed: – She first became pregnant last December – the same month Michael separated from his wife – but miscarried three months later. – The baby boy will be named Michael Jr. – Debbie has agreed to give Michael full custody of their son. – Michael plans to raise the boy in France, and the child will never set foot in the US. – Terrified of kidnappers, the star will hire an army to guard his precious only child. Michael & Debbie attend the Australian premiere of Ghosts. Concert in Sydney (attended by Debbie) Katherine Jackson interview, November 22 1996 Just a few days after Michael Jackson’s Australian marriage to once-divorced nurse Deborah Rowe, who’s due to bear him a child in February, an enterprising San Diego radio station got a phone interview last weekend, with Michael’s mother, Katherine Jackson. She says she is looking forward to the birth of her 22nd grandchild, and that she’ll still be friends with Michael’s first bride, Lisa Marie Presley, whom Mrs. Jackson describes as “down to earth.” It all depends on your perspective, I guess. Here’s what else Katherine Jackson had to say about her son’s abrupt nuptials… Q106, San Diego, California: Was this a surprise for you? KATHERINE JACKSON: Yes, it was in a way. Q106: Did you know her, have you met her? JACKSON: I’ve never met her. Q106: Did Michael ever talk to you about her? JACKSON: Oh, sometimes. Q106: Did he talk to you in a way that you would think maybe, he was in love with her, or one day might want to marry her? Or this would be it? JACKSON: Not exactly. November 18 1996 Michael Jackson’s new bride is a far cry from the glamorous and famous woman his first wife Lisa Marie Presley, was. Debbie Rowe, 38, is a divorced nurse who, up until marrying Jackson was living in a modest apartment in Van Nuys a not-so-well-heeled suburb of L.A. Where Lisa Marie favours designer clothes from the likes of Versace,(unreadable) of make-up and regular visits to the hairdresser the new Mrs Jackson prefers basic jeans and T-Shirts and little make up. She is solidly built and wears her blonde hair free flowing. And while Lisa Marie gets around in limos, Debbie Rowe relies on her Harley-Davidson motorbike to get around Los Angeles. Rowe was single and childless after divorcing her husband of six years a computer technician, whom she married in the early 80s. She filed for bankruptcy in 1989 and was living in an (unreadable)-a-month apartment until marrying Jackson this week. Jackson and Rowe met 15 years ago, when the superstar first came to see Rowe’s boss Dr.Arnold Klein, a Beverly Hills dermatologist about his rare skin disorder. Rowe helped Dr Klein treat Jackson and, sources said, soon became a close secret confidante of the singer. She has travelled all over the world with him on concert tours and their close friendship is said to have been a thorn in the side of Lisa Marie Presley during her marriage to Jackson. Friends say Rowe’s apartement is covered in wall to wall posters of Jackson as well as memorabilia from her time spent travelling with him. It is claimed that this is the second pregnancy to Jackson for Rowe. She is said to have fallen pregnant in December last year, only to have a miscarriage in February. Jackson has vehemently denied that Rowe became pregnant by artificial insemination. Such reports were “completely false and irresponsible.” “He (Jackson) trust her like no one else,” a US magazine quotes a friend of Rowe’s saying. “She is devoted to him. She has been an hand to soothe him. She has seen him at his worst, and his lowest, at his most embarrassing. She saw him humiliated by his illness. He has nothing to hide from her” Rowe graduated from Hollywood High in 1978 and within 5 years had married. When news of the pregnancy emerged friends of the couple strongly denied that Jackson had paid Rowe 3 million to carry his child. “No money involved,” said one. “Debbie is just doing a nice thing for somebody. She genuinely loves him but as a brother. The baby is a gift of love.” People Magazine, December 2 1996 WHEN MICHAEL JACKSON DECIDES to get married, he doesn’t exactly wait for June to roll around. On the morning of Tuesday, Nov. 12, Debbie Rowe—six months pregnant and apparently feeling it—said goodbye to her two beloved dogs, left in the care of neighbors in her Van Nuys, Calif., apartment complex, and boarded a jet bound for Australia. When she touched down in Sydney—Wednesday afternoon local time, after 14 hours in the air—the 37-year-old dermatologist’s assistant was whisked by limo to the Sheraton on the Park hotel. There, she disappeared into the $2,750-a-night Presidential Suite and rested. The following day, Jackson performed to a sellout crowd of 40,000 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Then, around midnight, as the singer joined 30 or so associates at a post-concert party in a private room downstairs, Rowe slipped into something white and put on her makeup. At about 2 a.m., Jackson and a few pals made their way upstairs. The superstar sat down at a grand piano in the two-bedroom suite and played the Wagner march known to millions as “Here Comes the Bride” while Rowe entered and, after 15 years as Jackson’s friend, became officially embroiled in his strange—and increasingly troubled—world. “Please respect our privacy,” Jackson, 38, said in a release after the event, “and let us enjoy this wonderful and exciting time.” How many days had elapsed since Jackson confirmed that he and Rowe were expecting a child? Ten. How many questions about the groom had been resolved by the hasty civil ceremony? Zero. The singer’s second marriage happened so fast, in fact, many people didn’t even realize he was already divorced from Lisa Marie Presley, 28, whom he wed in May of 1994 and separated from 20 months later. Their split became official last August, with no regrets on either side. “They fell out of love,” says Presley’s attorney John Coale. “Anything she feels is going to remain private.” Rowe is already finding out how hard it is to know both privacy and the King of Pop. From the moment she was thrust into the spotlight by Jackson’s announcement that she was expecting, she has had to live with speculation that her baby is in part a public-relations ploy. Friends of Jackson’s insist that the marriage and pregnancy have nothing to do with his reported $15 to $20 million settlement of a child molestation suit in 1994, a just-published book about that case, or a new civil case being pressed in Santa Barbara (Calif.) superior court by the alleged victim’s father. Still, even Rowe’s father has expressed skepticism. Last week, Gordon Rowe, 67, a retired cargo pilot who lives in Cyprus, was quoted at length in News of the World, the racy British tabloid that reportedly broke the story of Jackson’s involvement with Debbie earlier this month. As published in NOW, Rowe knew his daughter was friendly with Jackson but was stunned when she told him of her pregnancy. “I said, ‘Isn’t this the same man who was accused of child abuse?’” Rowe reportedly told Debbie. As published in NOW, Rowe said Debbie dismissed the allegations. “She said, ‘None of the charges against him were proved.’” She reportedly did not, however, dismiss reports—denied by the Jackson camp—of artificial insemination. “Isn’t he capable of fathering a child like anyone else?” asked her father. “She laughed and said, ‘Michael doesn’t do anything like anyone else. Dad, you have no idea who the real Michael Jackson is. He is the most compassionate person I have met in my life.’ “ Rowe’s father has since issued a general retraction of his NOW statements. Her friends insist that Rowe is acting out of the goodness of her heart. “I know she doesn’t want the publicity,” says Rowe’s pal Mary Colandro, 35, a tennis coach who has lived next door to Rowe for nine years. “She’s done all this for Michael. She told us she was having the baby for Michael as a friend.” She also told neighbors she was not artificially inseminated. “She said it was natural, and I believe her,” says Colandro. “On the other hand, she is Michael’s good friend. She is very loyal to him.” Until recently, Rowe’s life was hardly the stuff of which cover stories are made. Born in Spokane, Wash., to Gordon Rowe and Barbara Chilcutt in 1958, Deborah Jeanne Rowe had moved to California by the time she was 15. About that time, her parents were divorced, and, according to NOW, her father took off for the Middle East. Soon after graduating from Hollywood High School in 1977, Rowe began working in the Beverly Hills office of dermatologist Arnold Klein. One former patient is still grateful for the care Rowe gave her father. “She held his hand during the surgery,” says the patient, “and called to follow up. She is the right hand to Dr. Klein. She really kept the business going.” In 1982, Rowe married Richard Edelman, then a 30-year-old teacher at Hollywood High. The couple moved into a condominium in Van Nuys, where Edelman started his own computer consulting business. According to a pharmacist with whom Rowe had developed a friendship over the years, Edelman was “too quiet” for Rowe, a woman who, he fondly notes, “used language like a trooper but was always very pleasant.” By the time their marriage fell apart in 1988, a major problem seemed to be money. In 1989, Rowe and Edelman filed for bankruptcy, with assets of less than $40,000 and debts of more than $73,000. To friends, Rowe has always seemed a good-hearted woman, most comfortable in jeans and T-shirts and not much makeup. She has two dogs, a golden retriever named Cuervo, after the Mexican tequila, and Harley, a German shepherd named for the motorcycle Rowe loves to ride when she’s not at the wheel of a truck. “If anyone has problems, she handles them,” says Colandro. “She’s a great rescuer.” No doubt Jackson saw these qualities some 15 years ago, when he first met Rowe at the office of Dr. Klein, who was reportedly treating Jackson for vitiligo, a condition that causes skin discoloration through loss of pigment. Over the years, she and Dr. Klein accompanied Jackson on various world tours, and Rowe befriended the superstar. A few posters of Jackson popped up on her apartment walls, but no one was likely to hear Jackson’s “Billie Jean” blaring from Rowe’s stereo. “She seemed to prefer New Age,” says Colandro, “or easy listening.” Though Rowe dated several men in the years after her divorce, pals say Jackson wasn’t one of them. And as far as anyone knew, she was not in a relationship last spring, when Rowe surprised her pharmacist friend with the news that she was expecting a child. “I’m doing a favor,” the pharmacist recalls her saying, “for a good friend.” Most of her neighbors knew that the good friend was Jackson. He had just split with Presley in January, less than seven months after telling Prime-Time Live that he and Lisa Marie wanted to start a family. Apparently, Rowe was ready to give Jackson the child Presley did not. At first their plan took an unhappy turn, friends say, when Rowe miscarried last spring. “She was really sad for about a week,” says Colandro. But her pharmacist friend says she quickly bounced back. “She’s that kind of a gal,” he explains. “She doesn’t get heartbroken.” As the world now knows, another attempt to conceive a child proved successful. But would Rowe raise the baby in her $840-a-month, one-bedroom apartment? Or would Jackson take custody and raise their child on his 2,700-acre Santa Ynez Valley Neverland ranch, complete with zoo and amusement park? How would the couple interact over time? Would money change hands? When it came to marriage, Jackson seemed to want to act first and figure out the details later. A week before the Sydney wedding, his lawyers contacted the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages in Christchurch, New Zealand. (Jackson had show dates in Auckland on Nov. 10 and 11.) They filled out registration forms for Jackson and Rowe and asked marriage celebrant Anne Stubbersfield to be ready on short notice—which never came. “I’m sorry I didn’t get to marry him,” she says with a laugh. “New Zealand could have been put on the map.” In the end, of course, that honor went to Australia, where, as Elton John told talk show host Rosie O’Donnell last week, “all the loonies get married.” (Now openly gay, Elton married a sound engineer, Renate Blauel, in Sydney in 1984; they divorced four years later in Britain.) But how loony is Jackson, really? If ever he could have been described as blissfully wacky, that no longer seems to apply. Three years after he was accused of molesting a 13-year-old boy in 1993, Jackson is still dealing with the fallout. Five former employees are suing him for wrongful termination, claiming they were threatened, harassed and forced to quit during the police investigation into the charges. A book on the case by author Victor Gutierrez—filled with legal papers, bank statements and photos—was published in Chile in September and has sold some 5,000 copies Stateside. And though he negotiated the multimillion-dollar settlement from Jackson in 1994, the father of the boy Jackson allegedly had molested recently hit the singer with another $60 million lawsuit. According to one of the father’s lawyers, James E. Prosser, Jackson violated the terms of the settlement, which required him to make no public statements about the case, when he told Prime Time Live’s Diane Sawyer last year that the accusations were “lies, lies, lies, lies.” In addition, the suit claims that anti-Semitic lyrics in Jackson’s HIStory album (which were later changed by Jackson, who issued a public apology) were aimed at the boy and his father. Jackson is, in other words, a man who could use a “great rescuer” like Rowe—and his friends know it. “She’s a really gentle person, very loving,” says Stephen Millard, marketing director at Epic International Artists, Jackson’s label in Australia. Adds another associate: “Lisa Marie had a mind of her own. Debbie is not involved in the limelight. She is very easygoing.” So easygoing that she spent her first day as Mrs. Michael Jackson on her own—while her hubby, surrounded by his usual entourage of associates and kids, cuddled a koala at Sydney’s Taronga Park Zoo. Later, Jackson went, without Rowe, to the Australian preview of his new 35-minute film “Ghosts”, a horror/music video. At the entrance to the theatre, the singer was surrounded by fans, one of whom gave him a pair of blue baby booties, which he clung to during the screening. Rowe remained out of sight for the next few days as she, Jackson and several colleagues traveled from Sydney to Brisbane to Melbourne. Nor was she at the hospitals he visited, the events he attended or the concerts he gave. “She’s six months pregnant,” says a spokesperson for Jackson’s concert promoter. “She wants to rest.” Or hide. Rowe has been getting a crash course in what it means to do “a favor” for a famous friend—as have many of her pals back home. In Van Nuys, one old buddy has turned down tabloid offers adding up to $20,000 for private details of Rowe’s life. “I guess it’s about integrity,” says her friend. “But it’s hard,” he adds with a laugh. His friend Debbie doesn’t have it easy either, being married to a man who once had too little childhood and now may have way too much money and freedom. If Jackson wants the world’s sympathy, he has a tough row to hoe, but if it’s advice he’s after, there’s no shortage of givers. In Christchurch, Anne Stubbersfield may have lost her shot at performing Jackson’s ceremony, but she still has words of wisdom. He should “think seriously” about his future as a husband and a father. Take classes in parenting. Get prepared. “You’ve got to be normal now,” says Stubbersfield. In his own way, Michael seems to be trying. Mr and Mrs. “King of Pop” are currently on a weeklong rendezvous in a some secluded European hideaway- a country known for its divine chocolate. They are actively performing their maritial duties, in hopes of bringing forh another little Jackson. I hear that Michael “just loves” these romantic vacations with his wife. I also hear that Debbie intends to slap serveral of the supermarket tabs with lawsuits demanding retractions on their stories about her relationship with Michael. Not inclined to respond to false and vicious reports, Deborah is adamant about again setting the record straight that Michael is the father of the child, the pregnancy is not the result of artificial means, that she has not been paid to have Michael’s baby, and that she is not seeking or filing for a divorce.” February 13 1997 Debbie Rowe gives birth to Prince Michael Joseph Jackson Jr at the Cedar Sinai Medical Center of Los Angeles. Michael attends the birth and soon takes his son to Neverland. Grace Rwaramba and Pia Bhatti are hired as Prince’s nannies and they move to Neverland with Omer Bhatti. I want a little Jackson No 2.(News) – Sunday Mirror May 11, 1997 Baby-mad Michael Jackson wants a second child with his wife Debbie Rowe. Jackson, who is in France with their three-month-old son Prince, has flown Debbie to Paris to plead his case – and is also said to have had his frozen sperm flown to her in Los Angeles. But Debbie is refusing to have another child unless she can live with Jackson as a “proper family”. A friend said: “Debbie doesn’t want to be a baby-making machine. She really cares for Michael, and wants him as a proper husband.”

Reading Eagle, May 19, 1997 Michael Jackson and his 3-month-old son, Prince Michael Jackson Jr., reportedly are living in France without the child’s mother. People magazine says Debbie Rowe has returned to her job as an assistant to a Beverly Hills dermatologist. She is living in the same Van Nuys apartment she had before becoming pregnant and marrying Michael Jackson. Jackson reportedly calls his wife twice daily from France, where he bought an estate. Rowe has been flying there every weekend to visit, People says. March 25 1997 British magazine OK gets a world exclusive by publishing the first ever official pictures of MIchael & Debbie with their son Prince (at Neverland) accompanied by a candid interview of the couple. OK Magazine Interview April 1997
Interviewer: Michael, how does it feel to be a father? Michael: It was an incredibly joyful experience. I’m in bliss 24 hours a day. Interviewer: Can you talk us through the birth of your son? Michael: It’s hard to take it step by step, but the snapshots in my mind from the birth show our excitement and nervousness. Debbie was so strong throughout the delivery. There were shouts of joy when the baby was born. I couldn’t believe the miracle I had witnessed. It was unbelievable! Interviewer: Michael, describe the relationship between yourself and Debbie? Michael: Debbie and I love each other for all the reasons you will never see on stage or in pictures. I fell for the beautiful, unpretentious, giving person that she is, and she fell for me, just being me. Interviewer: Debbie, what are you current feelings for Michael? Debbie: I love him even more now than before our son was born. Fatherhood has brought out a very protective streak in him. He is so loving and strong. Interviewer: What is the boy’s name? Why is he so named and which of you does he look like the most? Michael: His name is Prince Michael Junior. My grandfather and great-grandfather were both named Prince, so we have carried on that tradition and now we have a third Prince in the family. Debbie: He’s so beautiful! I think he has my eyes. Interviewer: Michael, among all your life’s glittering achievements, how does fatherhood rate? Michael: Words can’t describe it. There is no miracle in life that compares with watching your son come into the world. Interviewer: Has the baby smiled or responded in any way to the two of you yet? Michael: He smiles all the time and his eyes twinkle when I sing to him. He definitely knows my voice. Debbie tickles his chin and he giggles. Interviewer: Debbie, does Michael change the baby’s nappies, get up in the middle of the night to feed him and do his share of the chores? Debbie: Yes, Michael does everything. He loves being involved in every aspect of caring for the baby. He is such a wonderful father, feeding him, holding him and of course, singing to him. Interviewer: Debbie, you have married and had a baby with the most famous man on earth. What effect has that had on you? Debbie: I have married and had a baby with the man I will always love and I am on top of the world. The only time I feel sad is when I see quotes attributed to me that I never said. Or when I hear late night comedians taking cheap shots at my husband when they are not true. Don’t believe 99% of the garbage you read or hear. I know that we will be under increasing public scrutiny and I don’t look forward to that, but I know that will always be a part of being married to Michael. Interviewer: Michael, you so rarely give interviews. What is the one thing you would like to say to your fans at this time? Michael: Thank you to all of my fans for understanding how important it is to me to protect my family from the public eye. I have lived in a “fishbowl” all my life and I want my son to live a normal life. You’ve stood by me throughout my career and now you share my greatest joy. I love you. Interviewer: Michael, what are your hopes for Prince Michael Junior’s future? Michael: I want him to grow up surrounded by love and family, to receive the best education I can provide him with, to discover and develop his talents, and to use his resources to make life better for those less fortunate than he. Interviewer: Are you preventing Debbie from seeing the child? Michael: No, that is completely false. We have been together as a family since the birth of our son, and we’ve cherished every moment as a family. Interviewer: Michael, what has been your family’s reaction to the birth? Michael: They are all very excited. I’m already getting lots of tips and advice about schools and such. Interviewer: What sort of dad will you try to be? Michael: The best! My father was always there for us through the stardom of the Jackson Five and through many of the ups and downs that followed. I too will always be there for my son. It’s the most important thing in the world to me. Interviewer: Debbie, what are your family’s feelings about Michael? Debbie: They’re crazy about him. They were delighted to discover how warm and genuine he is. Interviewer: And how would you describe Michael’s strengths as a father? Debbie: He’s very patient and protective. He never rushes what he’s doing with the baby. I was very proud of how tough he was about our privacy. He’s incredibly strong. Interviewer: Michael, are you still close to your family? How often do you see your parents, brothers and sisters? Have they met your baby yet? Michael: We talk and see each other all the time. We recently had a big ‘get-together’ where all the cousins met one another for the first time. Interviewer: We believe the child’s godmother may be Elizabeth Taylor. What is it that draws you to Elizabeth? Many would call it an unlikely friendship. What do you have in common? Michael: Elizabeth knew many of the things I went through growing up in the spotlight. I can say a few words or just sigh sometimes, and she knows what I’m feeling. It was wonderful to find someone who understood me so well. I pray for her, and I want her to share the joy of my son’s birth for many years to come. Interviewer: What sort of gifts have you received for Prince Michael Junior? Michael: We’ve received some fantastic gifts; wonderful treasures, stuffed animals, toys and baby clothes from around the world. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all my wonderful fans for helping to welcome our baby into the world! Interviewer: Michael, what are Debbie’s strengths as a mother? Michael: Debbie is a very strong and caring woman. She’s a wonderful mother! Interviewer: Can we expect a song about your son on your new album? Michael: The birth of my son has been very inspirational to me artistically, and there will definitely be a song in the future. Interviewer: And one about Debbie, too? Michael: Any song about my son has to be about Debbie as well. May 29 1997 Michael arrives in Bremen ( Germany ) with Tarak Ben Ammar and they attend a press conference. Prince Michael Jr is taken to a Paris hotel suit with his nannies so that his daddy can join him after each concert of the European tour. Debbie also flies every week end to spend time with Michael & their son. Jun 22, 1997
*So What’s new on the Michael Jackson/Debbie Rowe front? Mr. and Mrs. “King of Pop” are currently on a weeklong rendezvous in some secluded European hideaway – a country known for its divine chocolate. (We can say no more!) They are actively performing their martial duties, in hopes of bringing forth another little Jackson. I hear that Michael “just loves” these romantic vacations with his wife. I also hear that Debbie intends to slap several of the supermarket tabs with lawsuits, demanding retractions on their stories about her relationship with Michael. And finally, a source close to Jackson sends word that Debbie wishes I wouldn’t “decry” Michael so much Gee, I think we’ve been kinder to Michael Jackson than anybody else in the press. I always, always emphasize that no matter what rumors swirl, Michael has never been found guilty of any crime. Just the other day I reported how well his ” Blood on the Dance Floor” album is doing in Europe. But I was also duty-bound to report that it has flopped in the United States. That’s not “decrying” Michael, just telling the truth. While a pregnant Debbie returns to the states Michael goes to London where he is joined by his ex wife Lisa Marie The single HIstory/Ghost is released in Europe . Toledo Blade, Jul 14, 1997 WE LOVE to tell you the latest on MICHAEL JACKSON and DEBBIE ROWE. I guess that’s because we know an insider in the Jackson camp who loves to tell us. Sharing — that’s what it’s all about. Anyway, Debbie, MJ and baby Prince continue their royal progress through Europe, while Michael plays to sold-out stadiums. Although Debbie is not at all a grandiose type — “just a home girl,” as she often jokes — she can’t help being thrilled by the nearly royal reception she receives whenever she’s spotted by the fans. ”Its almost a Princess Diana thing”, says my source, who has witness the frenzy.` Debbie’s boss, dermatologist Dr. Arnie Klein, is missing her presence in his office, so she will return to her ordinary day job in LA as soon as Michael finishes his tour. As for another Jackson baby, our acute and observant source says, “I believe No. 2 will be on its way.Debbie herself seems totally happy and fulfilled. “We are really in love,” she said recently, “and Michael has been so romantic.’ ET Tonight, July 15th 1997 Michael’s personal photographer John Isaak was also interviewed by Entertainment Tonight yesterday. Commenting on media rumors that Michael’s marriage to Debbie is not happy, he said, “It’s all lies. A lot of it, they just make up stories and that bothers me, and I am sure it bothers Michael so much.” They showed photographs he took of Michael and his son Prince never seen in US before, including one of just Michael’s large hand holding Prince’s tiny fist. Jul 17, 1997 They split last year, but Michael Jackson and former wife Lisa Marie Presley were hand-in-hand Tuesday night returning to his hotel after his sell-out London concert. Presley stood at the edge of the stage through the show at Wembley stadium. Afterward, the two returned to the Carlton Towers hotel and Jackson waved to fans. July 17, 1997 Lisa Marie Presley stood stageside at Michael Jackson’s Tuesday performance in London’s Wembley Stadium and afterward returned with him hand-in-hand to the Carlton Towers Hotel. Current wife Deborah Rowe – nowhere in sight. Daily Record, July 26, 1997 Michael Jackson is a hunk in the bunk, according to his wife Debbie Rowe. Speaking for the first time about their bizarre marriage, Debbie said Michael Jackson lives to make love round the clock. Debbie, 38, said she doesn’t give a hoot that he and first wife Lisa Marie Presley spent time together in London recently. And she revealed he wants a bunch of kids and plans to name them ALL Prince, just like the baby boy she had for him. Fun-loving nurse Debbie insists she and Jackson can hardly keep their hands off each other and have sex whenever they can. “I can’t wait to see him again,” she said. “We’re going to stay all day and night in bed – I can’t wait.” Sep 20, 1997 Odd popman Michael Jackson and usually absent wife Debbie Rowe are expecting another baby, according to London tabloids. Jackson supposedly was so pleased that he immediately gave her a $168000 Mercedes S600. September 22 1997 Singer Michael Jackson’s publicist denies reports that Jackson’s wife, Debbie Rowe, is expecting to give birth to the couple’s second child in December. Last week, the “New York Post” reported the story, and carried a photo of Rowe wearing a suggestively loose-fitting shirt, which seemingly fueled the reports, yet doesn’t actually mean anything. Rowe also reportedly quit her job as an assistant to Jackson’s Beverly Hills dermatologist last week, six months after marrying one of the world’s wealthiest entertainers. The couple’s first child, a boy named Prince, was born last February. Sep 24, 1997 Recent photos of Debbie Rowe show a noticeable tummy bulge, leading to speculation that she’s as much as six months’ pregnant. But gossip maven Liz Smith says somebody in the know insists that Rowe isn’t expecting. “Debbie is a big, healthy girl,” the source told Smith.”At her trimmest, she’s somewhat Valkyrian in build.” In other words, it ain’t over till the fat lady gives birth, which the source says isn’t happening “anytime soon,” even though the couple “are trying, as the coy phrase goes.” Their first child, Prince Michael Jackson Jr Their first child, Prince Michael Jackson Jr., is 7 months old. Oct, 20 1997 MJ, LMP, his parents and her children in South Africa. Victoria Advocate Oct 20, 1997 But did you know that Debbie Rowe, the dermatologist’s-assistant-turned-King-of-Pop-spouse was fuming at photos of the event? Rowe, who is reportedly pregnant with Jackson’s second child, was left in the dark about the trip. The entertainer was snapped with former wife Lisa Marie who was accompanying him on the tour with her two children by previous hub Danny Keough – Danielle, 8, and Benjamin, and Michael and Lisa Marie were holding hands and inseparable the whole time, says the Star tabloid. Enquirer, October 21, 1997 MICHAEL JACKSON has reportedly begged LISA MARIE PRESLEY to give marriage a second try. The king of pop whisked his ex-wife away for a hush-hush second honeymoon in exotic South Africa. And during the romantic getaway with Lisa Marie’s daughter DANIELLE, Jackson popped the question to her. A source told American tabloid THE STAR, “He’s really excited about the possibility of starting over with Lisa Marie. While they were in Africa they both realized how much they had missed each other.” Michael’s kid sister, a great friend of Lisa Marie, played matchmaker to bring the couple together. And despite Jackson being married, his wife DEBBIE ROWE was unaware of the they secret tryst at the Palace Hotel, in Johannesburg. Jackson and Lisa Marie stunned the world when they married in the Dominican Republic. But 20 months later the fairy tale union ended in divorce. Even though Jackson has fathered a baby with his new wife, Rowe, he has always remained close to ELVIS PRESLEY’s little girl. 20th November 1997 LIfe magazine has an exclusive photo essay hitting stands Monday- Michael Jackson, posing with his baby boy, Prince, for the cover. And many pages inside. LIfe’s photos are taken by the great Harry Benson: Michael is awash in gentle light and shown performing all sorts of Daddy-like tasks, changing diapers, etc. And there are even photos of Michael’s bedroom, which one enters by passing under campy Boy and Girl Scout mannequins. Prominent on the wall of this sanctum is a painting of Jesus-the traditional Anglo-Saxon blue-eyed version, with the halo and the blood-red Sacred Heart. Jackson, naturally, had complete control of which photos Life used. The text, by David Friend, is also revealing. Michael’s voice “quavers” when he speaks of ex-wife Lisa Marie, and the writer observes that Michael seems to “pine for her.” And Michael implies that Lisa Marie would still like to have a baby with him, “She’d like to, yes,” he says, before putting a finger to his lips. “Shhhh.” (Michael keeps a magazine photo of Lisa Marie at age 5, with her father, Elvis, framed on the table of his nightstand. ” This is the age when I first met LIsa Marie. I’ve known her ever since.”) OK, so where does all this leave the current Mrs. Jackson, the infrequently seen Debbie Rowe? Michael insists they do spend quality time together, watching cartoons, playing with the baby, and she has been out on tour with him “a lot.” Debbie is no longer working for Dr. Arnie Klein, leaving herself free for Michael. Michael plays coy as to why Debbie isn’t present for the photo shoot, hinting that her absence might have to do with having to “take it easy.” Then he whispers, “There’s a new one on the way.” My inside-the-Jackson-camp sources insist Debbie is pregnant, after months of rumors. Antoher little Jackson is on the way. And they say Michael and Debbie aleady know the sex of their upcoming addition – it’s a girl. Time will tell, Meanwhile, Michael, from all appearances, seems to be a devoted father. P..S. ON Michael Jackson. Michael and his wife, Debbie Rowe, were together last Wednesday when our story broke that they are expecting a baby girl. The life magazine article in which Michael more or less tipped the world to his “expectancy” (though not to the sex of his child) was read over the phone to him Wednesday night. The people at Life believe he was pleased with their effort. So how did the article by Harry Benson and David Friend come about? Michael himself phoned Friend about a month ago to congratulate LIfe on its “Life Legends” speicial issue. One thing led to another and pretty soon David had an exclusive interview, and Harry was warming up his cameras. These Lifers say Michael made no demands and does not have any rights over the photos, nor did he ask for any. “He trusted us,” says David. Life got an usual tour of Michael’s bedroom at his Neverland rack hear Santa Barbara, Calif., including a look into his closet to see all his many toys, his gittering wardrobe and his amazing belts and hats. Writer Friend says the thing that he had not known was that Macaulay Culkin is the godfather of Michael’s son, Prince. Nov 22, 1997 Michael Jackson confirms in the Life magazine issue out Monday that wife, Debbie Rowe, is pregnant with their second. Says work has hindered their home lives, (“It’s very hard. We haven’t been able to spend time as a family. Not at all”). Says Wife No. 1, Lisa Marie Presley is sorry she never had his kid (“She regrets it. She said so,” saysJackson). THEY’LL LOVE PARIS IN THE SPRINGTIME JAX, WIFE TO NAME GIRL AFTER CITY OF LIGHT, Nov 27, 1997 The pop star’s nurse wife, Debbie Rowe Jackson, also told KNBC-TV in Los Angeles she doesn’t feel threatened by her hubby’s friendships with other women, including ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley and Elizabeth Taylor. “My friendship with him is the most important thing to me,” the normally reclusive Rowe Jackson said. “And if this marriage gets in the way of that friendship, then we’ll put the marriage aside. But I want to go on as friends.” Rowe Jackson told the station she still lives in L.A. and often visits Jackson and their 9-month-old son, Prince Michael Jackson, at the Neverland Ranch about 100 miles away. And the King of Pop was reportedly so thrilled he was going to become a pop again he gave his wife a $168,000 Mercedes. Paris Michael Katherine Jackson is scheduled to debut in May. “He’s picking out clothes already to dress her up,” she added. “I wanted to name her Michael after Michael, but Michael said no.” She called the secretive singer a doting dad. “Whenever the baby is awake, he is with the baby the whole time,” she said. “When the baby is napping, that’s when he steals away to work, to write music, to dance.” She said they may try to have another baby after Paris is born. “He loves kids,” she said. “I hope we have lots of kids together.” Her first pregnancy, announced before the wedding, was met with worldwide disbelief, and critics called it a publicity stunt to divert attention from Jackson’s child-molestation scandal. Jackson denied tabloid reports that Rowe was artificially inseminated and paid $528,000 to have his baby. But her dad, Gordon, said the new mom told him she had been artificially inseminated. Transcript of KNBC News Interview, November 28 1997 Kelly Lange [of KNBC news]: She is Mrs. Michael Jackson, Debbie Rowe. She has never given and interview about her marriage or her baby until now. Tonight Debbie Rowe speaks exclusively with our Chuck Henry about her life, her baby son, and Michael. Chuck Henry got the story and he’s here now with all the details. Introduction: Chuck Henry Interviewer Debbie Rowe works as a nurse in a Dr’s Office. Keeps her job, goes to work every morning, she really is an ordinary woman. But, she’s involved in an extrodinary situation. Debbie: I haven’t abandoned him, a lot of people think I have abandoned him. I haven’t abandoned him. I haven’t abandoned my husband.I’m there! It’s not like I’m that far away, I can be there in 13 hours. Interviewer: And Debbie flies to Paris twice a month for a weekend visit. Do you miss your son? Debbie: Sure. And I miss Michael a lot too. But I don’t feel like I have to be there. I don’t think being there 24 hours a day makes a better relationship. Interviewer: Debbie says there was no prenuptual agreement, and no financial payoff for her carrying Jackson’s child. Which she says was concieved naturally. Debbie: I would never do this for money. I did this because I love him. That’s the only reason I did this. Interviewer: Giving all the stories about Michael Jackson does Debbie feel totally comfortable about this arrangement? Debbie: Obviously I wouldn’t have had a child if ….. Interviewer: And you wouldn’t leave your child…. Debbie: And I wouldn’t leave our child there….. Interviewer: If any of those things were true. Debbie: If any of them were true. If I even suspected any of them were true. He feeds him, he changes his diapers, he reads to him, he sings to him, if he’s on the phone the baby’s in his arms, if he’s having a meeting the baby’s there. He takes naps with him. He, he, he’s….the…..I don’t need to be there. I don’t need to be there. Cause Michael’s…..I’ve got nothing to do. Interviewer: On her visits to Paris Debbie says the three of them just….. Debbie: Get up in the morning. Watch cartoons…cause I like cartoons….play with the baby all day….just hang out. Interviewer: Having the baby was her idea. It was a subject that was talked about before Jackson’s marriage to Lisa Marie Presley. Debbie: He did love her very, very much, still does. Still cares about her very, very much. But, um, it didn’t work out. And, uh, he was devastated. Interviewer: After the divorce, Debbie, who met Jackson while working in a Dr’s Office again brought up the subject of children. Debbie: Well, I said, I said, you know, my offer still stands…. Interviewer: So, if you want to be a parent …. Debbie: So I said, I said…If you want to be a daddy…I want to do it. Interviewer: A week after the story broke Debbie got a call from Jackson… Debbie: Asked me if I would get married to him, and I said “you really want to?” And he said, “yeah”. And I say, “that’s not gonna affect our friendship? We’re still gonna be friends, right?” And he said, “I promise!” And I say, “the first time this marriage interfers with our friendship, we’re goin’ back to being friends, and forget this other stuff.” And he says, “it won’t happen, I promise!” Interviewer: So now you’ve had the baby, Debbie: It was the world’s best experience. Interviewer: And through it all, Michael never left her side. Debbie: He did not let go of my hand the whole time. It’s like no, no go see what he looks like. No I’m not gonna leave ya, no you have to go, you have to go! Interviewer: Do you want to have more children? Debbie: Yeah Interviewer: Does Michael want to have more children? Debbie: Yeah Interviewer: You will have more children? Debbie: We hope so, yeah. Interviewer: Sooner, Later? Debbie: Well, depends on our scheduling. (giggle) Interviewer: Interesting story! Debbie says that she and Michael also plan to have a home together….someday. Debbie: People say this is your job. It is not my job, it is not my duty. And he understands that…and he understands that I need my independence that I still need to be Debbie. Interviewer: Yes, she is Mrs. Michael Jackson. Yes, she is the mother of a 14-week old baby. So why isn’t she living full-time with her little boy? Debbie: We’re untradional people. He works there and I…I work here. And I think that it’s better that a baby’s with his parent whether it be his mom or his dad more than the child would be with a nanny. If the baby were here he’d be with a nanny, because I do work…every day. Interviewer: Now, I notice that there are no pictures of the baby anywhere in this apartment. Why is that? Debbie: Well, my apartment had been broken into and pictures were stolen of Michael and I. I don’t want that to happen again. I also am basically a very selfish person when it comes to certain things. And this is one of them. I don’t want to have to share my child with the way he looks, or what he looks like, or adorable moments with anybody. Interviewer: Debbie says there are just a few people that either of them can really trust, so they end up living a very quiet life together. Debbie: I don’t like to go out to dinner….I don’t like to go to affairs and things like that. I like to stay home and I like to spend time with him and the baby. Interviewer: Do you consider yourself Michael Jackson’s best friend? Debbie: I consider him MY best friend. I would hope I’m one of his closest friends. Interviewer: But Debbie also says that anyone who knows her, knows that money is the last thing on her mind. She says that she and Michael have no financial arrangements whatsoever. She also says that they may have another child. Interviewer: First of all, lets address the speculation. Debbie Rowe says she was not paid to have Jackson’s child, this child was conceived the old fashion way, and there was no pre-nuptial agreement. Debbie Rowe is probably unlike any woman Michael Jackson has ever known. Michael Jackson’s wife loves to ride her Harley. An outspoken woman who is independent and self reliant. Interviewer: Have you ever got Michael Jackson on this thing? Debbie: Yes, a couple of times. Interviewer: Why is it that you and Michael don’t live together? Debbie: I’m really independent and Michael understands that. And I’m really fortunate to have a husband who does understands that…who knows that I need to work and I need to have my own self…because he is so big and he is so Michael. I don’t need to live with him 24 hours a day. He’s working right now. When he comes home we’ll have time and we’ll be together more. I don’t wanna give up my job. I…I don’t wanna do that. I don’t wanna be that…part of that lifestyle. Interviewer: For Debbie not being with her 14 week old son is not a bad thing. Debbie: It is unusual…but, I don’t think it’s weird. Interviewer: There are no pictures of the baby anywhere in the apartment. Why is that? Debbie: No…well, my apartment had been broken into and pictures were stolen of Michael and I. I don’t want that to happen again. Interviewer: What would you say to people that would say…well, you and Michael must have had some sort of a financial arrangement. That this was the way it was always meant to be. That you were gonna have the baby… Debbie: Money….I don’t need money. I would never…I would never do this for money. I did this because I love him. Michael Jackson is an entertainer. What he does on stage is everyone’s business. What he does with me is my business. Our life is our business and no one else’s. Interviewer: This week tabloid papers are once again speculating. This time they are speculating that Mrs. Jackson is pregnant again. She says that is simply not true. http://jetzi-mjvideo.com/books2/mm2/mm582.gif Life Magazine, December, 1997 Even Debbie has acknowledged that Michael is still smitten. “He cares about her very much, but it didn’t work out and he was devastated,” she has said. “He loved her very much. Still does.” Michael’s Women DEBBIE ROWE, aka Debbie Jackson, wife of Michael Jackson, is ho-humming over recent tabloid stories that had her husband getting back together with his first wife, Lisa Marie Presley. It was at Debbie’s urging that Lisa Marie joined them in South Africa recently. “After all,” says our Jackson source, “they are all very close friends.” Oh, it’s so terribly sophisticated and civilized and Noel Coward-like. When Debbie heard that Michael had supposedly remarried Lisa in Johannesburg, her lighthearted reaction was that Michael was not, to her knowledge, a Mormon! No word yet on any new Jackson progeny, but Debbie and Michael have welcomed an addition to the family- a beautiful German shepherd puppy. They are just your average young couple in love with all the usual accoutrements- kids, pets, castles, a famous former wife and a gazillion bucks. “To try and prevent some of the taboo, you know if you have a child out of wedlock. The kids were gonna have it hard enough as it was. They didn’t need to have that label placed upon them, like their father had so many placed upon him. They shouldn’t. If there’s one way we could remove it or try to make it what people thought ‘normal’.” Rowe was quoted in the tab as saying that she and the Gloved One had sex but didn’t conceive. “Michael then said that artificial insemination would be a foolproof way of doing it and he was proven right,” she reportedly said. Sarasota Herald-Tribune, Mar 9, 1998 So what in blue blazes is going on between Michael Jackson and ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley? The odd couple want all of us to think there may be romance afoot. On Valentine’s Day, King Michael and his princess Lisa arrived at Hollywood’s trendy Ivy restaurant without reservations. Michael, wearing his now-legendary surgical mask, was the usual object of frenzied gossip, finger-pointing and general amazement. But the couple was given a table – pronto! They enjoyed an “intimate” dinner and then walked along Robertson Avenue window shopping, while the photographer they brought with them recorded every oh-so-private moment. Talk about controlling your own publicity and magnifying your image. Meantime, we haven’t heard much about Michael’s present wife, Debbie Rowe. She is somewhere in Hollywood expecting his second child. April 3 1998 Debbie gives birth to Paris Michael Katherine Jackson at the Spalding Pain Medical Clinic of Beverly Hills. Michael attends the birth and soon takes his baby girl to Neverland. Newsday, April 27, 1998 I HEAR that Debbie Rowe and her hubby, Michael Jackson, are “outraged” by the continuing supermarket-tabloid allegations that they are headed for divorce. Or that their marriage is invalid; a fake in some way. Michael’s feeling feisty and righteously litigious at the moment. The pop icon was recently awarded $2.7 million when he won a lawsuit filed against a man who claimed – in a book and without any proof whatsoever – that he had seen explicit videos of Jackson and a young boy.(And it would have been nice if this victory had been a front-page story, as the initial accusation was.) Anyway, “strong letters” have been sent to those in the media who suggest that Jackson and Debbie, the mother of his two children, are not blissful. In their fashion. Taken in a suite at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills about two weeks after Paris was born in April, 1998
“Michael didn’t spend much time talking to Debbie during the meeting – but he was happy to watch her with the children. “It was his idea to do the photos. He was already thinking ahead. He wanted the pictures so he could show the children when they were older, so they’d know who their mother is.” Rebbie Jackson, OK! May, 1998: One family member she has yet to get the chance to accept is Michael’s wife Debbie Rowe, the mother of his heir Prince Michael Jr. “I have never met Debbie, so I don’t know what she’s like,” she explains. Daily Record, May 1 1998 Pop superstar Michael Jackson stunned a Scots designer by snapping up pounds 68000 worth of outfits for his wife. Dundee-born David Rees was packing up after a show when Jackson wandered into his Paris salon. David, 33, hastily organised a private show – and Jackson snapped up 17 designs worth a cool pounds 4000 apiece. He said the outfits were for his wife, former doctor’s assistant Debbie Rowe, 38. David said the star walked in after he finished showing his autumn collection at the Hotel Crillon in Paris. And he added: “He wants to see my next collection. That can’t be a bad thing.” October 29 1998 Michael & Debbie go to the Getty museum in Los Angeles with Prince & Paris. December 101998 Michael & Debbie attend a dinner in honour of Dr Arnold Klein (dermatologist of Michael & boss of Debbie) 14th December, 1998 The Best scene at L’Orangerie in Hollywood was the arrival of Michael Jackson and wife Debbie Rowe at an intimate dinner for Debbie’s boss dermatologist Arnie Klein. The diner was a little thank-you to Arnie from the American Federation for AIDS Research for all the support he has given to the great AIDS-fighting organization. Jane and Michael Eisner were the hosts. Wallis Annenberg, the Gregory Pecks, Penny Marshall, and Carrie Fisher were in attendance too. (There had been some hope that Elizabeth Taylor might appear, but she didn’t.) Michael looked like, well Michael. “He’s got a late 60′s Jackie Onassis thing going,” one onlooker said of Michael’s getup. But Rubenesque Debbie sported a slimmer silhouette and much improved hair color. ” She looked almost stunning.” And of even more consequence, this odd couple seemed very cozy, like any other husband and wife out to diinner. Photos of Michael and Debbie were taken for Kleins memory book, but then Michael surprised everybody by saying,” Oh, why don’t you sell these and make a few dollars for AmFar?” Dec 27, 1998 DINERS at a chic LA restaurant were stunned to see Michael Jackson and his wife Debbie Rowe enjoying a romantic dinner together by candlelight. Can it be that the two are trying to behave like a normal couple? Daily News 1998. The news in November 1996 that Debbie Rowe was pregnant with Michael Jackson’s child stunned even the star’s most devoted fans. Her name had not figured before in this official -or unofficial- life story and no one knew who she was or what the nature of her relationship with Michael was. Michael, for so long supposed to be, at best, androgynous, had in fact met Debbie 15 years earlier when she was a shy and retiring nurse and a divorcee. Theirs had been a romantic, wholesome relationship that came about by chance. The story of how it developed adds a new and unexpected dimension to the life of one of the world’s most successful and controversial entertainer. Debbie’s colleagues say that whenever Michael came to Klein’s office, she took special care to make certain he was happy by fussing over him and seeing what she could do to make his visit more pleasant. As a thank-you, Michael would always send her an autographed copy of his latest CD. Debbie would hang the CD picture jackets all over the office until, one day, Klein made her take them down. He told her that the display of affection was “a little inappropriate”. “Then came the day when Debbie saw Michael naked, which was about five years ago,” recalls a former employee of Klein’s. “Michael had to disrobe for an examination and Debbie accidentally walked in on him. I don’t know what happened, but Debbie was in that examining room with him for a while. Later she said: ‘I’m probably the only woman who has ever seen Michael Jackson naked’. After that she would giggle a lot and blush whenever Michael came into the office. “When Debbie was asked if she was romantically interested in Michael, she’d turn beetroot red. She ended up marrying someone else for a few years -divorced him in 1990 because she said she felt trapped -but she remained interested in Michael.” In fact, Debbie and Michael had become close friends, confiding in one another about their lives and their unhappy marriages: Debbie’s to a man she said didn’t understand her need for freedom and Michael’s to Lisa Marie Presley, whom he whined was always “trying to change me.” Debbie was so close to Michael that she was one of the few friends who assisted him during the allegations that were made about him molesting an underage boy, a time when, in his misery, he had become addicted to drugs. “I know when Michael was addicted, Debbie stayed on the telephone for hours and hours, pleading with him to save himself”, says Debbie’s friend Tonya Boyd. “She told me that she said: ‘If you die, I will be crushed. I wouldn’t be able to survive it. You are my very life’.” As it happened, Lisa Marie Presley was also instrumental in helping Michael during that difficult time. So was Elizabeth Taylor. It would seem that Michael Jackson, a person not particularly known as a ladies’ man, had all of these women -a rock ‘n’ roll heiress, a screen star and a nurse- wrapped around his little finger, as he played the role of a helpless child. Debbie was taken by surprise. One friend says: “She called me on November 12, 1996, and said: ‘Hey, guess what? I’m marrying Michael tomorrow.’ I asked her if she loved him. She stalled. Then she said: ‘Well, yes, I do. Kinda. I do.’ So, I pushed on. ‘Romantically?’ I asked. She paused, and said: ‘The kind of love we have is bigger, more important, than that’.” They were duly married at a hotel between Michael’s touring commitments. Afterwards, it was rumored that Debbie Rowe received $1 million to give birth to Michael’s son Prince Michael Jr. However, according to reliable sources in the Jackson camp, Rowe actually received $500,000 -and not to give birth but rather as a “wedding gift”. Any story that she has a contract with Michael Jackson, and that she has received millions of dollars to bear his children, is simply untrue. Indeed no document has ever surfaced to support the rumor. “None of it is true,” Debbie said when pressed to confirm stories of a deal. “Why won’t people believe me? I would never have his children for money. I am doing it because I am his dear friend. And I told him: ‘If this marriage becomes a problem and starts interfering with our friendship, then it must end.’ The friendship, that’s the important thing. I love my freedom. I will never settle down. That’s just not me. I can’t be what people want me to be, what Michael’s fans might want me to be. I have to be who I am. I am happy with things the way they are and it’s really nobody’s business.” Jackson puts aside $10 million a year for Rowe, and has bought stocks and other annuities for her, too. But she doesn’t use the money. Ever since she married Michael, Debbie has been shuttled from modest rented home to rented home in the LA suburbs in an effort to put the media off the scent. Only two weeks ago, she moved again. Michael is planning to buy her and exclusive home in Bel Air, according to sources, but he will continue to live abroad. In recent years, he has rented luxurious hideaways in France, Britain and Ireland. He has been trying to sell his palatial Neverland ranch -with its 27,000 acres, funfair and zoo, at Santa Ynez, California- for five years. Only the care-taking staff lives there these days. Debbie and Michael spend little time together. She has made no demands on him whatsoever, and seems content. She sees friends, some of them men, from time to time. But those who know her well explain that she has always had low self-esteem, in the sense that as long as she can make another person happy, she doesn’t care about her own happiness. In the meantime, Michael has gotten the children he desired, the children Lisa Marie wouldn’t -or couldn’t- give him, and Debbie has been able to keep her cherished freedom. She wanted only to give birth to Michael Jackson’s children. She never wanted to be a mother to them, or a wife to him. “They’re adults,” Tonya Boyd explains. “Say what you want, have any judgment you like about it, but it’s their life, and they get to live it whatever way they choose.” Jan 29 1999 Lisa Marie then wanted me to tell her my sources for various items about her ex-husband Michael Jackson and his current wife, Debbie Rowe! I declined, of course. And she declined to say much else, either – merely that she is busy in the recording studio, making an album. “Things are going well. My kids are good!” She promised she’d talk to me when she is ready with the album. So wait for it. You and I have no choice. Magazine: Brides; A date with romance: In Brief; Jewels; With this ring, Feb 14, 1999 Debbie Rowe, Mrs. Michael Jackson and mother of his son, didn’t say beat it when he presented her with a platinum wedding band with diamond baguettes, which reputedly cost $100000. Evening Standard, March 5 1999 MICHAEL Jackson’s wife Debbie Rowe was spotted in the Pleasure Chest sex shop in Los Angeles, stocking up on strawberry massage oil, fishnets tights and glow-in-the-dark condoms. Mirror, 12th April 1999 “To help them grow and let them know you love them by looking them in the eyes, and saying ‘I love you.” And play, play, play with them.”‘ The singer, who spends £3,000 a day on 24-hour nannies, lives apart from Debbie, 40. But he laughs at suggestions his marriage is a sham. He insists: “I love my wife, and we have a happy marriage. “Debbie is a nurse who loves her work, who loves taking care of people. Every day she wants to get up and look after others, to help them and make them better. “That’s why I love her, and that’s what gives her bliss in life, God bless her.”‘ Debbie – who met Jackson when she worked as a dermatology nurse and treated him for his skincomplaint vitiligo – is on record as saying: “Michael is a doting father. I know the children are safe whenever they’re with him.” Further discussion about the marriage is not forthcoming. But again, you are left with a sneaking, dreadful feeling that Jackson might actually be telling the truth. That he might genuinely love his wife after all. They may even, incredibly, have had sex. Checks into hospital, April 17/18 1999 Roger Friedman’s column on February 7, 2005: Michael Jackson checked himself into New York’s Lenox Hill Hospital for two days back in 1999. The exact dates were April 17 and 18, and the alias he used was “James Walker.” At the time, he was still married to, though not living with, his second wife, Debbie Rowe, and he already had custody of their two children, Prince and Paris. Rowe, according to sources, did not know of the hospitalization. Neither did most of Jackson’s close associates. When he finally checked into Lenox Hill, Jackson was alone most of the time, without any entourage, assistants or pets. Horovitz treated him with IV fluids. “My job was to hydrate him quickly,” the doctor recalled. “I put the IV in myself, and there was no one else around.” He ran blood tests, but not for drugs. He said he did not see pill bottles with Jackson, and there was no indication that he was medicating himself at the time. Jackson’s only diversion in his overnight stay was a boom box. June 2, 1999 There are conflicting reports out of New York that Michael Jackson’s two-year-old son Prince may be seriously ill, and maybe even dying, from a viral infection. The singer withdrew from Tuesday night’s “Pavarotti & Friends” benefit for Warchild to remain with his son in a New York hospital. But Jackson’s wife Debbie Rowe, who says she found out about her son’s illness watching the news, says Prince isn’t dying, and she told KNBC in Los Angeles that doctors and even Jackson himself told her that Prince would be fine. In addition, Pavarotti’s spokeswoman, who attended the concert, told MTV News Wednesday that the opera singer never told the sold-out crowd of 17,000 that Jackson’s son was dying. She says Pavarotti’s statement (which was in Italian) was mistranslated by the press, and that Pavarotti said the boy was sick, not dying. As of press time, representatives for Jackson were not available for comment. July 5-13 1999

Pop superstar Michael Jackson and his wife of three years, Deborah Rowe, filed for divorce today in a Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce petition states that Rowe and Jackson have reached a confidential financial settlement, though it did not indicate if an agreement regarding custody of the couple’s two children had been settled, according to the Associated Press. Rowe and Jackson are parents to a 2-year-old boy, Prince Michael, and a 1-year-old girl, Paris Michael Katherine. The couple has apparently been separated since mid-July. Jackson wed Rowe, a nurse from his plastic surgeon’s office, in November 1996, less than a year after divorcing his first wife, Lisa Marie Presley, after two years of marriage.

Michael Jackson’s Type Of Girl
The Qualities He Looks For In A Girl Age 12, 1970: MJ: I like dey legs big and I like them with pretty big eyes (laughs) and uh, let me see what else do I like about girls? Brother: How about their personality, Mike? (laughs) MJ: Yeah, I like their personality. That’s one thing I like about them. Questionaire Answered By Michael, 1970 The Qualities I Look For In A Girl Are: Eyes, legs, personality. 1971 MJ: I haven’t really had any girlfriends yet, but I’ll tell you what I’d like to find in a girl. She has to have a good personality. I wouldn’t want to go out with a girl unless I had talked to her for a while, seen what she’s like, asked her a lot of questions. Super Soul, 1971 Me: “Mike, let’s talk about Jermaine first. Do you get along with Jermaine as well as with your friends?” Michael: “Jermaine and I have a lot of groovy times together! We get along very well and hardly ever fight like a lot of brothers with a big age difference do! Jermaine is the kind of older brother you can dig. cause he’s not the type that thinks he’s smarter just because he’s an older brother.” Me: “What do you think is the thing that’s most different between you and Jermaine?” Michael: “There’s a big difference in the kind of girls we like. People say I’m full of energy, and I guess that’s why I like lively girls who laugh and talk a lot. Jermaine is more cool. He digs girls who are the foxy type, mysterious and quiet.” Jackson 5 Fax, 1972 Michael: I wish girls wouldn’t think they have to be some kind of super-girl for me-or any of my brothers-to dig them. But I guess it’s because we’re in show business they think our ideas about girls are so different from other guys. Star, 1972 Star: What do you like in an girl, Michael? Michael: I think personality’s the most important thing of all. I dig chicks who are on the lively side, who love to laugh and talk. Black Stars, November 1976 “A young lady’s physical beauty can by no means outshine the inner beauty that radiates from her inner heart and spirit. The kindness of a girl is more important than anything, really, to be honest about it.” From a generic questionnaire filled out by 18-year-old Michael Jackson in 1977 Would you like to get married? Later in life What kind of girl/boy would you like to marry? Kind How many children would you like to have? 20. Adopted. All races Briefly describe your dream girl/boy Beautiful in every way What type of person do you usually dislike? Nasty Francesco Scavullo, Magic/Madness, Sometime in the 70s/80s Photographer Francesco Scavullo once recalled of Michael, “He asked me, ‘What do you do about falling in love? Are you afraid they’re just after you for what you can do for them?’ And I said ‘Michael, you can’t live your life that way. You have to take a chance.’” Special Edition of Right On magazine, 50 Facts About Michael, 1984 28. A soft, sexy scent will make Michael turn his attention to you. 31. Balloons, balloons, and more balloons are what Michael would send you if you were his special girl. 37. He loves singing romantic songs more than any other kind. 38. Michael loves having long telephone conversations with special ladies. 39. Michael thinks Japan is a wonderful country to fall in love because of its beauty and romance. 41. Go on a roller coaster with Michael and you’ll his win his heart. The scarier the better. Katherine Jackson’s Bio, 1990 The most tired rumor of all was the rumor that Michael was gay. All I can say is, Michael is not gay. He intends to settle down and get married one day. We’ve talked about it. And he will. I wish he did have that special someone to share his life with right now; his life would be richer. I think that, deep down, he does, too. I think the reason why he’s had so few relationships in recent years, is that he’s been approached so many times by women who are so obviously looking for that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow that he’s grown wary. Michael wrote about this type of woman — I call her a status seeker — in his song “Dirty Diana.” When Michael was younger he joked that “when the love bug bites me, that’s when I’m going to marry.” By 1989 he was telling me, “The woman I marry will have to have a lot of money herself. That’s the only way I’ll know for sure that she’s not marrying me for my money.” And yet, Michael seems happy. Even though he knows that he will never be able to live a “normal” life, he seems comfortable with his fame. I believe that when he’s good and ready to get married, he’ll do it, despite the inevitable press uproar. REBBIE: Even if Michael were to find the “perfect” woman tomorrow, I think that he would be reluctant to subject her to the incredible scrutiny that he’s subjected to every day. Even if Michael’s wife did manage to adapt to life in a fish bowl, she’d also have to cope with the reality of Michael attending meetings, and members of his entourage constantly pulling on him. Some of these people, no doubt, would view her as no more than a competitor for Michael’s time. Glenda Tapes, June 1992 M: I just… wanna know what its like, girl, to have a real relationship with someone who doesn’t want me for me – that I dont, I don’t have to look over my shoulder all the time. G: That doesn’t have an ulterior motive? M: Yeah, that doesn’t question me… I mean..(i) I don’t… and, and.. like La Toya said in her book.. she said, either I am going to have to find somebody who doesn’t even know who the heck I am - G: (i) M: Orrr..oorr deal with somebody who’s career is equally as important, or equally like mine.. G: Well.. a nix to both of those. Shmuley Tapes, 2000/1 MJ: I want someone who is a lot like me, who has the same interests and who wants to help. The ones who are classy and quiet and not into all the sex and all the craziness because I am not into that. I do not understand alot of the things that go on in relationships and I do not know if I ever will. Mean things and vulgar things with their bodies. I do not understand it and it has hurt my past relationships. SB:Have you ever found girls who like practical jokes that you like? Have you ever found a woman who collects comics? MJ: It is a rarity. If I find one I will go nuts. Especially, if she has those qualities and is beautiful inside. It would be a home run for me. MJ: I think sexy comes from the heart in the way you present yourself. SB: Have you ever found women who are a bit more modest to be more attractive for that reason? MJ: Yeah. I don’t like women who are always saying, “My nails need to be done. I have to do my toes. I need a manicure.” I hate all that. I lke it when girls are a little bit more tomboyish. If they wrestle, climb a tree….. I love that. It is sexier to me. I like class, though. Class is everything. SB:Celebrities are targets for people who marry them for wrong reasons, their fortune and their name. But don’t you know when someone is interested in you for the wrong reasons? MJ: You don’t know. It is hard because the women today can do a good job of faking it. I mean a real good job. They are smooth. Look in the Bible. Women have taken the most powerful men down to nothing because of what’s between their legs. SB: Can you immediately tell innocence? MJ: Right away although I find it harder to tell with women because they’re so smooth. But with men I can usually tell, because they are more open and like puppies, while girls are more like cats. You know how if you’ve been on vacation and you get home and a puppy is all over you, while with a cat, it’s “Hey I don’t need you, you come over here and pick me up”. They give you attitude. They’ll walk right by you even though they haven’t see you in three months. Women are very smart. Walt Disney always said they are smarter than men and he always hired more women.

DIANA ROSS
When I was little I used to stay with Diana Ross, me and my brother stayed with her for years and I never said, but I always had a crush on her. - Michael Jackson “You’re not pretty until you start looking like Diana!” he would tease LaToya and Janet. - Katherine Jackson I used to stay with her whenever we’d come up to New York. -Michael Jackson I was enthusiastic. I thought it would be wonderful for Michael and me to work together. Michael and I were pretty close during that time. We spoke on the phone every couple of days and usually saw each other about once a week, when our careers permitted. We were already very close friends. - Diana Ross She’s such a beautiful, talented woman. Doing this movie together was very special for me. I love her very much. I have always loved her very much. -Michael Jackson Diana Ross was a big support throughout the shooting. Michael referred to her as “my mama” on the set. She made a habit of checking in on him in his dressing room each morning. - Katherine Jackson Sometimes, Michael Jackson and I end up being dates. - Diana Ross She would periodically speak of Michael in a very warm way. She had real admiration and affection for him – her eyes would light up every time that she spoke of him. - Douglas Kirkland Even Diana Ross was calling him up – calling Michael every day telling him don’t sign don’t sign, don’t go to Columbia. You’re gonna get in a lot of trouble, things like that. Diana Ross was close to Michael. Michael always admired Diana Ross, he loved Diana Ross. They were very good good friends. - Pete Bennett There are a lot of people I like, and I think they like me, but only time will tell whether our friendships are really true ones, close ones. Diana Ross and I have some deep, deep conversations at times-especially on the phone, because I’m much deeper in conversation on the phone than I am in person. -Michael Jackson I’m crazy about Michael and I love him a lot. He’s been my inspiration. He’s a very gentle, wonderful human being, one of the special ones in this universe, and I don’t even know if he knows how special he is. So whenever I can be around him, I like it. I like to rub shoulders with talent. He’s got good vibrations. His aura is only about love. So I like being with him. - Diana Ross Later, when I showed him the proof sheets of the photo session, he ordered two large prints of every picture, which was highly unusual. Typically, if someone orders one or two pictures from a session, it’s considered a success. I was blown away. “Two of every single one? That’s about 144 prints… Michael answered, “Yes, I can count. I want one set for myself and one for Diana [Ross]. Todd, this is magic.” - Todd Gray “They have a friendship as genuine as any I’ve seen. On set Diana would say, ‘what would Michael think of this?’ Michael would say, ‘what would Diana do with this?’” - Bob Giraldi She’s someone very special to me. -Michael Jackson I care for Michael but I don’t worry about him. I think sometimes that he’s got angels on his shoulders to protect him. - Diana Ross We’re just good friends. -Michael Jackson I mean, Diana’s like a mother-lover-friend to me. She’s wonderful. -Michael Jackson I’m crazy about her. She was my mother, my lover, and my sister all combined in one amazing person.” -Michael Jackson Well, you know, I’m crazy about Michael Jackson. I might team up with him one day. I would certainly like it very much. - Diana Ross What I didn’t know is that you’d get so sexy. - Diana Ross to Michael There’s a Black lady in my life but you wouldn’t take me seriously. It’s Diana Ross. I love her. Not as a big sister, see, I told you that you wouldn’t take me seriously. I would like to marry Diana Ross, I’m saying that. Uh huh, I feel something more than close friendship for her. And what does age have to do with it? Look at it this way: how old you would you be if you didn’t even know how old you are? -Michael Jackson As time went on, he sort of fell in love with Diana Ross —her music and her singing — and I think it was mutual. She fell in love with him also. - Don Cornelius He’s also very close to Diana Ross but he isn’t obsessed with her. - Jermaine Jackson
She’s the kind of person I can tell anything to- the most private of secrets! And she tells me her secrets as well. Sometimes I tell her I’m going to marry her. Our relationship goes on forever. -Michael Jackson To me, [Diana] is a peacock… That’s what she is. She has so many colors. She’s not only a singer. She’s a philosopher. She teaches you all kinds of things. - Michael He has so many people around him but he’s still afraid, especially to be alone at night. - Diana Ross When I’m with him, I try to give him exactly what he needs-a little peace and the feeling that he is loved and that he can trust you. - Diana Ross I’m always extremely close to Diana. She’s my best friend. I love her. -Michael Jackson You see, we actually love each other. - Diana Ross Sometimes even I’m stunned at how he can be so shy. He’ll hide, talk like this (she whispers) — then you let him on stage —and he turns into this sexy, macho thing. I try to get him to step out socially, to get a little more out of himself. He spends too much time by himself. - Diana Ross When I heard Diana Ross was getting married, I was happy for her because I knew it would make her very joyous. Still, it was hard for me, because I had to walk around pretending to be overwhelmed that Diana was getting married to this man I’d never met. I wanted her to be happy, but I have to admit that I was a bit hurt and a little jealous because I’ve always loved Diana and always will. -Michael Jackson But Michael (Jackson)-when he wants to see me, he sees me; when he doesn’t he kind of closes the door. There’s no reaching him, there’s no finding him, there’s no anything. He’s just this illusive love out there. Somebody you care about, want to protect in a strange kind of way, feeling motherly toward him, but at the same time you can’t reach him and don’t know where he is. - Diana Ross And so it’s just that we don’t see each other half as much as I would like to see him. - Diana Ross There’s something you just said that made me think of Michael Jackson. I used to talk to Michael on the phone all the time. I haven’t talked to him for years now, but he always used to ask me questions about how to make this whole show-business thing work. - Diana Ross
I thought I was with Diana; that was just in my own mind. It took me years to get over Diana… A hell of a long time. -Michael Jackson
I’m sure he’s – he has a wonderful person in mind to take care of the children. - Debbie Rowe Michael was a personal love of mine. - Diana Ross

MADONNA
The last video I went crazy over and wanted to see over and over again was Billie Jean. - Madonna From then on I went through an “I want to be like Michael Jackson” phase. I can do everything he can do only I’m a girl! I still idolize him above any performer. He transcends almost every level, appeals to everyone. - Madonna I’d love to dance with Michael Jackson. -Madonna So in the nightclub I was all over the place, I combined everything. Street dance, modern dance, a bit of jazz and ballet, I was Twyla Tharp, I was Alvin Ailey, I was Michael Jackson. I didn’t care, I was free. -Madonna I saw him play at Madison Square Garden, and I was blown away. He was flawless. - Madonna At the same time she will come to my concert and cry. She comes there and tears rolling down her face for the song and the presentation of the song. There are some good qualities in her. - Michael He’s up for a couple of things that surprise me. - Madonna “I said, “Look, Michael, if you want to do something with me, you have to be willing to go all the way or I’m not going to do it.” He keeps saying yes.” - Madonna Madonna laid the law down to me before we went out. “I am not going to Disneyland, okay? That’s out.” I said, “But I didn’t ask you to go to Disneyland.” She said, “We are going to the restaurant and afterwards we are going to a strip bar.” I said, “I am not going to a strip bar.” Guys who cross-dress [note: House of Xtravaganza]! - Madonna “We drove to the restaurant in my car. It was dark out, but he was still wearing sunglasses. I said, ‘Michael, I feel like I’m talking to a limousine, do you think you could take off those glasses so I could see your eyes?’ He paused for a moment, then he tossed the glasses out the window, looked at me with a wink and a smile and said, ‘Can you see me now, is that better? In that moment, I could see both his vulnerability and his charm.” -Madonna Later we went back to my house to watch a movie and sat on the couch like two kids, and somewhere in the middle of the movie, his hand snuck over and held mine. It felt like he was looking for more of a friend than a romance, and I was happy to oblige. In that moment, he didn’t feel like a superstar. He felt like a human being. - Madonna He was a real paradox, one of the world’s greatest performers and obviously very confident on stage, but in real life he was shy and you really felt for him. - Madonna (At the Oscars) it was pouring rain, the limo door opened and Michael got out first. I got out right after him, and my bodyguard leaves with Michael under the umbrella. I was left standing in the rain. It was so fascinating to see how people responded to him. - Madonna At the time I was with Madonna she was into these books, a whole library of women who were tied to walls. She said, “I love spanky books.” Why do I want to see that? How would you like getting a phone call and she is telling you that she is putting her fingers between her legs. I would say, “Oh Madonna, please.” She said, “What I want you to when I hung up the phone is rub yourself and think of me.” That’s the kind of stuff she says. She does. When I see her she says, “This is the finger I used last night.” Wild, out of control. She is not sexy at all. - Michael Jackson Michael was also working on a commercial in a studio nearby where Madonna was shooting a movie. Madonna walked in one day and Michael was telling me something like, “You know Madonna can be naughty, a bad girl. Sometimes she needs to be spanked.” He hadn’t realized Madonna was standing right behind him. - Joe Mantegna So that’s what we were doing: watching movies, having dinner, hanging out, going to the Oscars, being silly, seeing if we could work. He got relaxed. He took off his sunglasses, had a glass of wine, I got him to laugh. - Madonna To work with him and become friends and hang out with him, was exciting for me. I used to love picking his brains about musical stuff. -Madonna [My people] knew nothing about it. This was totally between her and me. - Michael Jackson I was madly in love with him, totally smitten. He was mind-bogglingly talented. - Madonna I think she was sincerely in love with me and I was not in love with her. She did a lot of crazy things and that’s how that went. - Michael Jackson Every time I call her she’s either talking to or about Michael Jackson. - Sandra Bernhard ”Michael Jackson isn’t very masculine. He looks like Diana Ross. He has those beautiful doe eyes. He even talks like a girl and he’s conquered the world.” - Madonna Madonna visited MJ in the studio exactly one time. They spent a little while in his “private” room in the back, and then she left. When I asked Michael later about her visit, he said that she “scared” him. I think we all speculated that she tried to make a “move” on him, but Michael never said. In any event, we never saw her again after that… - Sam L Parity In a moment of unintended self-revelation, he [Michael Jackson] told me (with his hand cupped over his mouth in a gesture of ”I shouldn’t”) about how a highly popular female entertainer (I’ll withold the name) had once exposed herself to him (his words) just to see how he would react; a confession that caused him to visibly blush. - Kit Culkin He ran away from me. - Madonna We’re like oil and vinegar, oil and water. We just don’t mix. -Madonna I could have pushed myself out into his world, but I’ve spent all my time trying to be in touch with people, and he spends all his time hiding, cloaking and padding things around himself. It’s very evident when you see him work. - Madonna I felt like a peasant next to them, like this big clumsy farm girl. Like, when I’m hungry, I eat. When I’m thirsty, I drink. When I feel like saying something, I say it. And they have these manners and they’re just so careful about what they eat and what they say. - Madonna I haven’t seen that documentary [Living With Michael Jackson], but it sounds disgusting, like he [Martin Bashir] exploited a friendship. Publicly humiliating someone for your own gain will only come and haunt you. I can assure you, all these people will be sorry. God’s going to have his revenge. - Madonna People have said so many things about me that aren’t true, and I never once had a second thought that the accusations against him might be true. - Madonna There is no question that Michael Jackson is one of the greatest talents the world has ever known. That when he sang a song at the ripe old age of eight he could make you feel like an experienced adult was squeezing your heart with his words. That when he moved he had the elegance of Fred Astaire and packed the punch of Muhammad Ali. That his music had an extra layer of inexplicable magic that didn’t just make you want to dance but actually made you believe you could fly, dare to dream, be anything that you wanted to be. Because that is what heroes do and Michael Jackson was a hero. - Madonna When I first heard that Michael had died… All I could think about in this moment was, “I had abandoned him.” That we had abandoned him. That we had allowed this magnificent creature who had once set the world on fire to somehow slip through the cracks. While he was trying to build a family and rebuild his career, we were all passing judgment. Most of us had turned our backs on him. I thought, “my God, he was so unique, so original, so rare, and there will never be anyone like him again. He was a king.” Michael Jackson was a human being but he was a king. Long live the king. - Madonna

LISA MARIE PRESLEY
When she was eighteen I used to tell my lawyer John Branca, do you know Lisa Marie Presley ’cause I think she’s really cute. And he’d laugh every time. He goes, “I’ll try my best”, that’s what he’d say. Then he’d come back and I’d say “well did you find out?” He’d say “no, there’s nothing”. - Michael Jackson Michael wanted to meet me earlier in my life, and I said, “No way.” I thought he was a freak, and I had no interest in meeting him. But when I finally did, he immediately dashed any preconceived idea I had about him. - Lisa Marie I didn’t think of him like that when I first met him. We had something though. We were sitting talking and after 20 minutes I’d forgotten who he was. - Lisa Marie He was very quick to, the first time I met him, sit me down and go, ‘listen, I’m not gay, I know you think this and I know you think that. And he started cursing, and he started being a real person. And I thought ‘wow’. I was always saying, ‘People wouldn’t think I was so crazy if they saw who the hell you really are: that you sit around and you drink and you curse and you’re fucking funny, and you have a bad mouth, and you don’t have that high voice all the time.’ - Lisa Marie He’s not stupid, he didn’t get where he was because he’s stupid. It’s unfortunate that not a lot of people know who he really is. He doesn’t let anybody see it. And he has some idea about how he should represent himself in the public, that he thinks works for him, which is the sort-of meek victim, meek-quiet thing that he does, which is not like how he really is. So, he doesn’t let a lot of people see that. - Lisa Marie When Michael was about to leave, he offered Lisa a penetrating look and in a conspiratorial voice said, “You and me, we could get into a lot of trouble. Think about that, girl.” - Brett Strong Then I met Michael and I could tell he was interested in me – we had a connection at the time. I made the mistake of saying I was not happy in my marriage, and the courting started. Flowers. Calls. Candies. You name it . . . everything started coming.” - Lisa Marie I fell in love… for him. Because he was an incredible, an incredibly dynamic person. If you were in his vicinity and he wanted to give – and he showed you who he was, and he was willing to do that in any way, meant that… I have never felt so high in my life. I have never felt so high in my life as that. I am not lying when I say that. He had something so intoxicating about him and when he was on, when he was ready to share with you or give it to you, and be himself and allow you to come in. I don’t know if I’ve ever been that intoxicated by anything. - Lisa Marie Lisa, kept calling me after that. Constantly calling me. And she wanted to get together with Michael more. Lisa met with Brett a few times to talk about it, remarking that she had “a few things in common with the Jacksons and maybe she should pursue a friendship with Michael.” I always talked about him as a passionate man [who was] extremely loving…and that attracted Lisa, that loving part, and loving children. -Brett Strong I began getting phone calls from an amazed Brett about this time. “He’s saying, ‘Gosh, Lisa’s calling me and Lisa’s really interested in Michael!’ ” Brett’s impression, was that Michael was absorbed in his work, but that Lisa was really interested in him. “And I said, ‘Come on! What do you mean?’ [Brett] said, ‘You haven’t met him, but he’s very charismatic.’ And I said, ‘Yeah, but I can’t believe it.’ He said, ‘Yeah, she’s kind of pursuing him.’ - Mike Edwards I think it was the passion of a woman who fell in love. And Michael wasn’t even interested at all. And he is a gentleman; he wouldn’t have wanted to pull her away from her marriage to Danny. And she pursued him. - Brett Strong I know that Lisa is the one who pursued the relationship. - Bob Wall I started calling him, he started calling me, I sort of became his friend. - Lisa Marie By mid 1993, Lisa Marie was deeply in love with Michael – and she made sure they got together regularly. I realize now that she was pursuing Michael – and that she was determined to make him her husband. - Brett Strong One of the things that Michael told me was, “Man, I didn’t know that Lisa was going to divorce her husband for me.” - Teddy Riley He’s not sexually seductive, but there is something riveting about him. He doesn’t let people see who he is. When he does, it’s hard to shake. - Lisa Marie Yes, she did have sincere feelings for him, according to what she told me. She did. She didn’t do it because Michael coerced her. She genuinely cared about him. She told me she knew he was interested in women. - Myrna Smith I was already friends with him, there was already some romantic stuff going on a little bit before [the allegations] happened (in August). So it was like, I was already like, you know, I was the only one he would be calling so I felt all privileged and, you know, that he was trusting me and telling me what happened and it was very convincing and I believed him. - Lisa Marie He called…I was in touch with him through the whole process of this – charges going on. I was talking to him when he disappeared. I was actually supposed to go to Santa Juan, Puerto Rico when he left and disappeared, and I got a call that he wasn’t going to be there and I was actually a part of the whole thing with him, by talking to him on the phone, so… - Lisa Marie You look like a woman who needs to let go and have some fun. You look like a woman who needs to hook up with me. - MJ to Lisa, Magic &Madness At the time there was sexual attraction. Yeah. - Lisa Marie Of course, I wouldn’t have married him at the time if I hadn’t (felt physically attracted to him). It wasn’t instinctive to me right off the bat. He needed to make that overture because I wasn’t going to. - Lisa Marie No, he was… whenever he was ready to make a move on me, it happened. I wasn’t the instigator, I wouldn’t, you know, I um… that wasn’t something I could imagine at the time. - Lisa Marie …obviously I didn’t resist (him kissing me). - Lisa Marie I wouldn’t have married him if I wasn’t [sexually satisfied]. - Lisa Marie Yes, these were romantic nights. I mean, it was normal. I wasn’t going to get married if it wasn’t that. -Lisa Marie Yeah, in private we were doing all the things that married people do: kissing, going to bed together, having sex…. That was part of it, for a while. - Lisa Marie Apparently, Michael Jackson is a freak in bed. Lisa said he was amazing, and she’s been around. Everyone was saying, ‘No way, Lisa. It can’t be true. Michael Jackson? Are we talking about the Michael Jackson, the one with the glove?’ However, she wasn’t joking, and it wasn’t long before she didn’t think it was funny, either. - Monica Pastelle My taste in sex is probably “porn style.” [Laughs] I am a little dark on the subject. I like it rough, the way they do things in porn movies. - Lisa Marie Man, we were backstage after the show, and here comes Mike with this chick, and he’s all up in her face, kissing on her, and we were saying, “Who the heck is this girl?” Finally he introduced her: Lisa Marie Presley. You could have knocked me over with a feather. I said to the guys, “Check this out. The King of Pop and the King’s daughter, together. It had to happen.” They looked pretty cozy. - Otis Williams Yeah, anyway we were spending a lot of time together. I don’t know how it didn’t manage to get in the press, because we weren’t hiding it. I was in Las Vegas, we were in…everywhere… bookstores. We were not hiding it. - Lisa Marie On the way to the movie theater, he turned to her and said, “Lisa, here. Come here. Sit here.” He said it just like a regular man, not in that little-boy voice of his. It was like, you’re going to sit with me, woman, and she did. I was very impressed, but I was also confused. I mean, who was this guy? - David Foster I know that he and Lisa Marie were absolutely 100% in love because I was around them, and it was amazing. It was a great love story. I know that. - David Foster Michael asked me, “Can I bring my love interest?” It was romantic. Later, I asked Michael how things were going and he said, “Great. I just got to kiss the most beautiful girl in the world. I hope I’m worthy of her. I think I might marry her.” For a while, those two were really getting it on. - Donald Trump He told her that she was the only woman he could see himself marrying. And I was like, ‘You gotta be kidding.’ but Lisa responded, “Myrna, you don’t understand.” - Myrna Smith Michael was the one who mentioned marriage. On the telephone. He first asked me…We were going out four months, um…right? Four months? I was separated for four months and I said…he said what would you do if I asked you to marry me? And I said I would. - Lisa A big I would. You were really enthusiastic! (laughing) - Michael to Lisa Lisa and I were in the living room [at Neverland] having a glass of wine. We had just finished watching All About Eve, starring the great Bette Davis. We both love that movie. I just walked over to her, reached into my pocket and pulled out this huge diamond ring. “So what do you think?” I asked her. “You want?” She screamed out, “Yes, yes yes.” I never even officially popped the question. We never actually discussed marriage. It just sort of happened. - Michael Jackson
We were in the library in front of the fire and he pulled this giant 10 carat diamond out of his pocket and put it on my finger. I think he got on his knees too and proposed. I did think it would be forever. - Lisa Marie I love Lisa Marie. Why won’t people believe that? Why won’t the public let me be happy? - Michael Jackson Lisa didn’t live at Neverland. We visited Neverland the way…I lived at her house in the city and every once in a while we visited Neverland. It would be like our fun weekend. - Michael I honestly can tell you that it was in every sense a normal marriage and everything was spoken. In the middle of the night, if he needed to wake up and tell me, bounce something off me, and wake me up and wanna talk… if there was trouble… He was like a little gnome. I used to tell him he was a gnome running around the room because it was hard for him to sleep. A lot of times I couldn’t sleep either if he wasn’t sleeping. I’d just hear him piddling. It was a bit endearing but then I didn’t mind it. But he did have a hard time sleeping, yes. - Lisa Marie And I really loved that role and I loved taking care of him. It was the highest point of my life, one of the very highest points of my life. When things were going really well and he and I were united together and he and I had an understanding about some of the people and the things that could go around him and he was with me on those things and we were a unit and I could take care of him. Loved being next to him, taking care of him. I was on such a high from doing that. It was a very profound time of my life. - Lisa Marie But believe me; the love affair between them is real. It’s not a phoney marriage designed to make Michael look better. Michael definitely wants to have children with Lisa Marie – and she says she can’t wait to have his baby. - Brett Strong I am very much in love with Michael; I dedicate my life to being his wife. I understand and support him. - Lisa Marie The press release was Lisa Marie’s idea. She wanted to set the record straight. If it was up to me, I would have just said, “Let people think what they want.” - Michael Jackson After the (Scientology) test, Lisa Marie hugged him and kissed him on the lips. She was so proud and happy. It certainly looked like they were a happy couple. - Terry Dangers There was a lot of teasing, a lot of kidding around, like any other newlywed couple. - Steve Manning I was there when Lisa Marie was around. They acted like two kids in love. Held hands all the time and she hung out at the studio for quite a while. I never questioned their love for each other. - Robmix He’s cuddly with Lisa Marie in the studio. - Jimmy Jam Michael and Lisa Marie were great together and a lot of fun to be with. - David Nordahl Lisa Marie is great, they feel very good together. They are inseparable. She comes very often to the studio. - Bruce Swedien We did mundane married couple things, like watch TV together. I remember Alanis [Morissette] broke like a bat out of hell back then. I pulled him into the room and said, ‘You gotta listen to this.’ He liked her and then when she took the Grammy, he goes, ‘Well, that’s your girl, you were on it.’” - Lisa Marie For Diane Sawyer to ask all the other questions and then have someone else ask that – why? I’m sick of this whole stupid thing about, ‘Do they have sex?’ Somebody asked me that and I said, “No, they just sit there, look at each other and masturbate.’ I mean it’s STUPID. I wish people would shut the fuck up and leave him alone. - Janet Jackson What I saw made me think of the scene which two in love act as if they were alone in the world, in spite of the crowd which surrounds them. That only comes when two people are deeply enthusiastic about one another. I did not even need to guide Michael and Lisa. I did not need, for example, to ask them to intertwine. They spontaneously did it and most naturally. They spoke to each other in a very soft tone, the tone of two people very much in love with one another. Between shots, they were whispering and giggling to each other. They were so happy it was hard to keep their attention on the camera. They were so much into each other. - Dick Zimmerman I was in the studio just last Sunday and he was on the phone three times to Lisa within an hour. They are very much in love and anyone who doesn’t believe that is just stupid. - Janis DaSilva The warmth displayed in the You Are Not Alone video is for real. The shots in the last scene were done without Michael and Lisa Marie knowing it, literally off-camera. - Wayne Isham I had a lot of fun with Lisa Marie on the set. But when the director said, “Action”, she became very shy. I was giving her a hard time too! - Michael Jackson As for Nic and Michael, there were good times, but people are just interested in the bad stuff. It’s just sensationalism. With Michael, I learned a lot. Nothing was all that terrible. - Lisa Marie She was asked [whether or not she wanted me to be father to her children] on TV and she said, “No, they have a father. Their father is Keogh,” that other guy. - Michael And I did things that hurt him. I did stupid things too. Danny was still very much part of my life. Michael didn’t quite know what to do with that sometimes. That made him uncomfortable and I understood that. Michael would wonder, “Why are you in Hawaii with Danny?” I’d take a vacation and Danny would go. Michael would get upset and “Where are you?” and he would disappear for a couple of weeks and I couldn’t find him. - Lisa Marie She had no problem doing that but her and I had several big arguments ‘ cause she’s very territorial with her children. Her children were [her major concern]….and I said “No, all children are our concern,” and she never liked that coming from me. - Michael I wanted children and she didn’t. She felt she had her kids. She promised me before we married, that would be the first thing we’d do was have children. It disappointed me that she wouldn’t keep her promise to me, you know? - Michael The great sex continued, though. It was the thing that made it difficult for her to see straight where he was concerned. Whatever was going on in the privacy of their bedroom was enough to keep her hooked into the relationship. However, things were getting strained. When they weren’t in bed making love, they were fighting. - Monica Pastelle We’d go shopping and go to dinner, people would come over. Although that was only for the first six, seven months, then all that kind of dwindled away. - Lisa Marie We hit rough waters, we would fight, we would argue, three day arguments sometimes, taking a break to eat and sleep. I have to say that I really admire that he really gave it a good shot, you know. - Lisa Marie Michael always spoke with affection and respect for Lisa Marie Presley, with the one exception when he told me that she has wanted him to get involved with Scientology and got pushy. He had to tell her that he had no interest in becoming a Scientologist. Michael was dismissive of Scientology and spoke of how the practices of Scientologists that he had been exposed to were not sufficiently spiritual or substantive for him. - Schmuley As much as he can love anyone else, possibly. I don’t know how much he can access love, really. I think as much as he can love somebody he might have loved me. - Lisa Marie It was like a drug. He was like a drug for me. I felt like I just always wanted to be around him, always wanted to be part of – I felt so high. I’ve never felt like that around another human being, except for one, which was my father. - Lisa Marie I was still very much in love with him when I left him. I left him to sort of stomp my foot in the ground and go… I was trying to take a stand and say, come with me, don’t do this. That was a stupid move, because he didn’t. And he’s you know, he’s a stubborn… I’m stubborn, he’s stubborn. The two of us it was like you know… - Lisa Marie
I know Lisa was great. She was a sweet person. But it is hard to tie me down. I can’t stay in one place one time so that’s why I don’t know if I can really be completely married all the time. Yes, (marriage is too confining). I don’t know whether I’m disciplined enough. - Michael But I want to say this because it’s important: I didn’t feel appreciated [by Jackson]. That was why I left. It might have hit him later because I never took or wanted anything. He may have realized that at some point. I have no idea. - Lisa Marie I’m not easy to live with in that way for a wife. I not easy and I know I’m not easy. And women want to be the center. And I remember LMP would always say to me,” I’m not a piece of furniture.” “I’m not a piece of furniture.” “You just can’t…” and I say, “I don’t want you to be a piece of furniture,” and you know, there’d be some sick little girls calling on the phone and she’d get mad and hang up on them. - Michael He was an amazing person and I am lucky to have gotten as close to him as I did and to have had the many experiences and years that we had together. - Lisa Marie The press only report the bad things. They don’t know how much love there is between them. - Taryll Jackson Lisa Marie was just with me in Africa. We (went to) IMAX theaters, simulated-ride safaris, dinner. We went parasailing. It was wonderful. - Michael He cares about her very much, but it didn’t work out and he was devastated. He loved her very much. Still does. - Debbie Rowe “She regrets (not having my baby). She said so. She’d like to (have a baby with me), yes,” he says putting a mischievous finger to his lips. “Shh.” - Michael The only thing I know for sure is Lisa definitely is not back with Danny. She really did visit Michael there [the Beverly Hills hotel MJ was staying at]. I definitely think Lisa wants Michael back. They spend a lot of time together. I talk to Mike pretty often. - Flo Anthony The hardest decision I have ever had to make, which was to walk away and let his fate have him, even though I desperately loved him and tried to stop or reverse it somehow. After the divorce, I spent a few years obsessing about him and what I could have done different, in regret. Then I spent some angry years at the whole situation. - Lisa Marie We again, were going to get back together, we spent four more years after we’d divorced getting back together and breaking up and talking about getting back together and breaking up. At some point, I had to push it away because it was not, I wasn’t moving forward with myself. And actually afterwards, he and I were still… I was still flying all over the world still with him to follow. - Lisa Marie We’ve had a few benign conversations recently, but I wouldn’t consider us friends. We didn’t speak for four years. - Lisa Marie After we got divorced she would hang out with my mother all the time. I have all these letters saying, “I’ll give you nine children. I’ll do whatever you want.” and of course the press don’t know all these stories and she just tried for months and months and I just became too hard-hearted at that point. I closed my mind on the whole situation. - Michael I remember that’s how she felt (regretting having his child) at the time [laughs]. No matter what I say, I’m in trouble with this question. The next issue of TV Guide will probably say “Well, Lisa said she doesn’t ever want to see him again!” Lisa’s sweet. I like her very much and we are friends. And who knows what tomorrow brings? I have no idea how she feels today. I’ll just say that. She comes to my house and sees the children, and we talk on the phone, that sort of thing. - Michael I’ve been through two bad divorces. I just got out of the second one. Even when married to those women that I was married to, I’d go to bed hurting. I was hurting. - Michael Lisa… we’re still friendly, but she’s running around. - Michael We’ve had no contact since our divorce. - Lisa Marie I’m not with him, nor have I been for a very long time. - Lisa Marie I walked away a long time ago. - Lisa Marie If I were to bump into Michael in the hotel lobby, I’d just say “Hi’… and then walk. We have no contact at all. - Lisa Marie The last time I spoke to him was sometime in 2005. It was a very long conversation. I was so removed from him and he could feel it and he could hear it. And I think that’s one of the things that killed me in the end too was that I was very distanced and he was checking to get a read, he was trying to throw a line out to see if I would bite emotionally and I wouldn’t. I was pretty shut off at that point. I don’t even know how I managed to be like that but I was. He asked if I still loved him and we went into a whole thing about that and I told him I was indifferent and he didn’t like that word and he cried. He was trying to find out where I was at and how I could become so detached. - Lisa Marie I more wanted to apologize. I felt like I wanted to apologize. For not being around. - Lisa Marie

NAOMI CAMPBELL
I wanna kiss him. (giggles) I may kiss him but I mean if I kiss him it won’t be for the screen. - Naomi He is sweet and shy and sensitive and seems to be a very caring, soulful person. - Naomi The sweetest thing Michael said to me was, um, that I reminded him of a fawn, which is like a baby deer. He said that is what he thought I looked like. I thought that like a “Bambi,” and I thought that was very sweet. - Naomi To me he is a wonderful person, inside and out. He was everything I thought he would be, or even more. - Naomi Look at him! Look at how beautiful he is! - Naomi on Michael I had fun with Naomi, but, I hate doing that. (Laughing) She’s a sweetheart. She’s a champ. - Michael I keep hearing that he’s frightened of me. (laugh) But I think it’s because the directors would tell me, Herb would say you have to touch him everywhere, and I’d say, but he doesn’t want me to touch him–“You can’t touch me there!” and Herb would say, “You have to do it!” - Naomi “Naomi! Herb!” photographer’s shout as Herb attempted to steer Naomi down the red carpet. How’s the video?” “I want to suck Michael Jackson’s cock!” Naomi dutifully tried to inform the free press as Herb shoved her in the door while attempting to gag her with his spare hand. - Sharon Oreck I like to touch people all the time. I mean, I had to push a little bit further but I like to be that way. - Naomi He just said I was crazy. He was frightened of me because I’m a nymphomaniac. -Naomi We were joking ALL the time. It was like, jokemaster. It was constantly jokes, jokes, jokes. We had a lot of fun. We were like two children. We had water fights and (giggles) cream can fights, whipped cream can fights. - Naomi

MELISSA She told me she goes like, “Michael, why can I never get the chance to see you and never get through to you,” and I said.. “I well I don’t wanna call you because I said you know… spend some time with you and stuff.” So she goes, “I love you Michael and I’ll do whatever it takes and all that,” right? - Michael I was kinda interested in her… and I know I can trust this girl, like I told you a long time ago right? I said I know I can trust her, I don’t have any bad feelings. - Michael You know that’s what she said…. like it doesn’t matter, no matter what you know… she told me that she’s afraid she’s going to lose me as a friend or whatever, she’s afraid she’s not going to see me. - Michael Well… I’m gonna, I’m gonna be with her. - Michael

TATIANA THUMBTZEN
As for the dress and boots…..well, it was the look I put together for the initial audition. It worked as Michael liked the look, from what I was told. - Tatiana I saw him turn to the person next to him and say something. I later found out from David Banks, one of the video’s writers, that Michael had said, “She’s the one. The rest are extras.” - Tatiana
That’s why it’s my job to cast the girl, because it’ my job to think they are cute. So I can do that if I really like them, like some of the girls you see in my videos. I have cast them because I really like them and it caused a problem afterwards because they start to really like me, and I don’t want to get that serious, and it becomes a problem sometimes. - Michael By our fourth take, the heel of my boot was caught in the cars upholstery and Michael put his hand on my leg to help pull it out. It blew my mind that he had actually touched my leg, which I pulled away and began to tumble out of the car falling on my butt and hard too! Michael started laughing hysterically as Joe Pytka yelled, “Get up, keep it going, keep it going, and don’t stop.” As I did, Michael got out of the car and started wiping my butt off. - Tatiana The fall caused a run in my stockings and the stylist wanted me to change. I started walking off the set and Michael asked, ”Where are you going?” I explained that she wanted me to change my stockings. He disapproved by saying. “No, I like it. I think the run is neat. It’s sexy.” - Tatiana During a quick break from the scene, Michael pointed out two birds high above us perched on a ledge — they were making love. He said, “Look,” while pointing up. I became embarrassed and shy and I looked away blushing. Michael stood gazing at me with this sweet smirk on his face that was somehow naughty. - Tatiana Between the scenes, Michael said to me, ”I heard you wanted to dance in this video.” I admitted it was true and I said, ”I thought I would get the opportunity to dance with you.” Michael replied in a soft and sweet voice, “Don’t worry, we’ll work together again.” - Tatiana It was quietly rumored that we were supposed to kiss at the end of the video scene but Joe came up to me and whispered in my ear, ”Don’t kiss him, he’s too shy for that, don’t kiss him!” Therefore, of course I respected his direction. - Tatiana I expressed how great it had been working with him and then he asked me if his team had my number. As I left, I could hear Michael say to Frank :”Aren’t you going to give it to her?”Frank replied, “No, why don’t you give it to her? It’s from you.”They were bickering like kids and before I knew it Frank tossed one of Michael’s hats to me. A black fedora with his name embroidered in gold inside the rim that he used in the Bad Tour. I caught the hat as if on cue and as I walked off I recall saying, ”I love you Michael” I guess the fan was coming out of me. - Tatiana To be honest, I could not help but to think that [Katherine] was checking me out. She wanted to see the girl she had heard about. The girl that had captivated Michael’s interest or tweaked Michael’s curiosity, and I eventually found out I was correct about her suspicion. She admitted it to me later. - Tatiana Yes, I know Tatiana very well. Yes, in fact, right after Michael did the commercial with Tatiana he called me in his room and he talked to me about her because he really liked her and had fallen in love with her and he asked me, what did I think? And I said, “Well if you’re in love with her let her know.” - Katherine Jackson Not long after the video production was over, Michael’s stand-in, Craig, who had become a friend of mine, called and said, “You know, Michael talks about you all the time. He asks me how you are and told me to tell you hello. I think he really likes you. He says stuff like how incredibly beautiful you are and how sweet you are.” - Tatiana In January, Michael was shooting a new video entitled Leave Me Alone. To my utter surprise, Craig called to say that Michael invited me to come and visit him but that I would need to clear my visit with Michael’s personal secretary Joli. - Tatiana On February 8th Frank Dileo, requested we meet at his office in Ventura. He told me how he could tell I had a thing for Michael and advised me to move on for my affection for him. He told me to focus on my career instead. He also made a comment about having me over to see his new home someday, but without mention of Michael being around or his own family being there. - Tatiana On their first date towards the end of the 80s Michael’s manager Frank Dileo was present as a sentry dog. Frank knew that Michael was interested in her and the three of them met at a restaurant. Without informing Michael, Frank had tried to court her even though he was married. - Joe Jackson Michael’s family felt this was Frank Dileo’s doing. It was clear: they did not trust his manager. - Tatiana ”Ah, ha, you see! You are a threat to him. If Michael falls in love and wants to marry you, then Dileo fears the person Michael is close to could have more value and credibility than he does with Michael.” Katherine said. - Tatiana I remembered the family complaining that they could not reach Michael when they wanted or even needed him. - Tatiana Joseph made a remark about Bill that made it obvious that he disliked Bill. Katherine also said that she did not trust Bill. - Tatiana I came to learn through one of the band members that Michael told them to stay away from me and not to bother me. I thought this was respectful of him to do and my mother especially liked it! - Tatiana Joli, Michael’s secretary joined me. She told me that she knew Michael had feelings for me, because he spoke of me often. Yet, she said that she was confused to why he had not responded to my request to speak with him yet. She promised me that she would make the call happen. - Tatiana Ingrid said that she heard from many people in the industry that Michael cared for me, but she felt his professional camp had taken control of the situation by brainwashing him and telling him lies about me. - Tatiana Certainly, Michael’s friends Corey Feldman and Little Richard, both his sisters and brothers knew that he had romantic feelings for her but we had not uttered a word about it since it wasn’t clear whether their relationship was serious or not. - Joe Jackson I heard Michael through the door of a private room going through his vocal warm up. One of his security guys remarked to Michael that I looked beautiful and I heard Michael reply, ”I know. ” - Tatiana When I stepped out onto the stage, I passed Mike and heard him say, “Work it! Work it! That’s it!” - Tatiana As I grabbed his collar, I landed a big wet one on his cheek. I kissed him. I did not think anything of it, and I did not think he would be ticked off. The dancers told me that he was happy and excited about the kiss. Telling me, “OOHHH, Boy! You just made Michael’s day! He was happy!” I pretty much thought it was a good thing. - Tatiana I apologized to him because I had kissed him on the cheek. I said, “I am sorry if I threw you off in any way,” Mike intervened by saying, “OH! NO! NO! It was fine! It was great! I liked it!.” Then I asked him, “Well would it be all right then if I did it again, and perhaps take it a step further?” He said “Oh sure! That’ll be great!” - Tatiana I took it upon myself to change the routine a bit, something just came over me. - Tatiana I thought about whether or not I should follow through on the kiss. For some reason I was questioning myself. As I stepped up to him and put my arms around his collar, he looked deep into my eyes, almost as though he was challenging me. Then he did this sexy little thing where he bit his bottom lip. I placed my arm around his waist, and I landed a kiss right on his smacker! Never for a moment did I feel this was one-sided, as he at this point, put his left hand on my rear. - Tatiana Scott said that, again, this is not unusual when working with A-listers. There are even contracts that specify whether the person can be touched, where, and by whom. - Scott Thompson The next person to greet me was Michael’s mother Katherine. She walked towards me and gave me a big bear hug. She later admitted to me that she saw absolutely nothing wrong with us kissing. She approved. - Tatiana Miko was in a rage. He yelled, “How dare you f****** take advantage of him like that! You f****** b****! Who the f*** do you think you are? I cannot believe you are f****** took advantage of him like that in front of all those people.” - Tatiana Michael’s mother called me saying she was very interested and concerned about me. I first spoke with Rebbie for a few minutes and she said that they were concerned about me. They wanted to know why I was fired from Michael’s tour and she stated that her mother wanted to speak with me herself. - Tatiana As I prepared to go onstage and accept for him, the announcer said,”Since he could not be here tonight as he’s still on tour, we accept this on his behalf.” Well, so much for that! No one informed me of the change. - Tatiana He said that his friend had contacted MJJ records to get in touch with me but was told that I was booked, unavailable, and in Europe. Well my friends, I have never been to Europe. - Tatiana One of Hugh Hefner’s assistants told me Hef was good friend of Michael and that he did not want to involve himself with anything that was not ”Pro-Michael Jackson.-Never did I consider my story against Michael in any way. - Tatiana Majestic relayed a message to me that he heard that Michael’s response to me signing with Joseph was, ”She can’t be that stupid!” - Tatiana
My mother advised me to write Michael a letter during this time and to pass it through my new contacts within the family. - Tatiana David Banks told me I was living in a fantasy world but I did not see it yet. - Tatiana My friend, Iris Parker kept telling me to wake up and smell the coffee. She said that it was time for me to move on for good. - Tatiana Majestic said, “People just fuck you in this town and don’t kiss you first, huh, Tatiana?” - Tatiana I approached the gate and I asked Bill Bray, Michael’s assistant if he could please relay to Michael that I would like a moment with him. He told me that he would see what he could do. Before I knew it, Bill yelled ‘’Well hurry up! If you are coming, come on! We do not have all day! We’ve got another award to get.” - Tatiana He kept repeating exactly the same words to me that he said on stage. As though he had been scripted. He said, ”Oh Tatiana! It is so good to see you! I had no idea you were going to be here.” It was like an instant replay, and it was so weird. I said, ”Michael, I would really like to talk to you.” Right after I said that, Bill Bray grabbed Michael’s arms and pulled him away saying, ”We gotta go!” They did this as if they planned it. - Tatiana Majestic helped me understand what really happened to me that night. He said that when Bill Bray yelled for me to “Come on” it was probably giving Michael a cue for him to come outside his trailer so that I could not go inside. Then, when Bill pulled his arm saying,”We gotta go,” that was also a planned skit. He made it clear to me that Michael did not want to speak to me. Just as David Banks pointed out before, if Michael wanted something, he got it! ”What Michael once he gets,” he said. - Tatiana Ingrid also shed some light on the walkie-talkie incident that occurred when I was being escorted from behind the stage left to stage right. I learned that the missing words of the puzzle were, ”Michael does not want to see or speak to Tatiana before the show.” - Tatiana When they see me running the other way (they know I don’t reciprocate). Yeah. Some of them follow me around the world and it’s hard. - Michael No (I never tell them directly I don’t reciprocate), because it would hurt them too much. - Michael Tatiana says the friendship blossomed into a love affair that lasted about a year. - Maury Yes, there was a romantic attachment between us. We became somewhat involved after the video. - Tatiana It’s just like Michael says in the song, “It’s nobody’s business but mine and my baby’s.” I’m not going to sit here and talk about my sex life or his sex life, I’m very private, that’s my business. - Tatiana The lie slipped out of my mouth simply because of my feelings for him. I felt that an injustice was being committed. Plus, I wanted Michael to see how much I loved him. - Tatiana The unknown dancer has never been near a celebrity and couldn’t believe that my son wanted her. She could barely overcome the excitement and openly spoke about their relationship. It wasn’t pleasant for Michael because he did not want her to be put out on a public review before he had the opportunity to spend some real time with her. - Joe Jackson [Prince and I] met by chance one night at a club and started talking about an interview I had given to the Star tabloid during the scandal involving Michael Jackson and the underage boy. Prince was upset that I had spoken to the tabloid; he attacked me for my comments and he was especially bothered by a line that quoted me as saying that Michael would never get married. He shouted, “Did you need the money that bad? Are you that poor-that broke, that you sell your story to the tabloids?” - Tatiana You were spoken of with very kind words. - Bill Whitfield to Tatiana He considered [marrying me] years ago, from what I have recently been told (by a woman Michael knew). And after he passed away, someone who knew him looked me up to tell me that he spoke about me to them on June 8th 2009. - Tatiana

BROOKE SHIELDS
Now Brooke Shields, she was one of the loves of my life. We dated a lot. Her pictures were all over my walls and mirrors. My sisters would get jealous and tear them off the wall. - Michael I was at the Academy Awards with Diana Ross and she just came up to me and said, “Hi, I’m Brooke Shields. Are you going to the after party?” I said, “Yeah,” and I just melted. I thought, “Does, she know [that photographs of her are] all over my room?” - Michael She asked me to dance because I was not going to ask her. You know, I’m really shy and embarrassed. So she says, “I got to dance with you tonight.” I said, great. So we got together on the dance floor and danced. They were playing that old fashioned Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey music, which wasn’t much of a groove. First, you’ve got all these bald headed old people on the floor slow dancing, the Lawrence Welk sound. We really couldn’t get into it so we got to talking and got to know each other. And man we exchanged numbers and I was up all night, spinning around in my room, just so happy. She was classy. - Michael Brooke and Michael have been friends for a couple of years. And it seems that it’s a sudden thing and it’s not a sudden thing. You know how some people look at things and it’s not that way. They have a quiet friendship and she just wants to share and hopefully give him support too as far as a friend is concerned. - Teri Shields She’s gorgeous and she’s something special to me. She is the most sincere, understanding and interesting girl I’ve ever known. We talk on the phone for hours without getting bored. - Michael When I’m with Michael I feel so good. I’m proud to be his friend and I feel lucky to be able to enjoy it with him. - Brooke Michael is a hunk. - Brooke Despite the press’s portrayal, Michael and Brooke’s relationship was a friendship, plain and simple – at least in Michael’s mind. It was obvious to Janet and me that she had other ideas. About to watch a movie with us at home, Brooke would declare, “I’m going to sit by Michael,” grabbing his hand. “Michael, where are we going to sit?” - LaToya I love Michael dearly. I went to the AMA and that was really the first time we ever went out in public together. I talk to him all the time and he said that he would really like to have me go with him. - Brooke Anyway, he asked me [to the Grammys] and, as usual, I said I’d be glad to join him and help in any way I could, I promised we could would have fun no matter what. - Brooke Brooke Shields asked me out every time you saw us out together. It was her idea to go out and do it every time. I sincerely liked Brooke Shields too. I liked her a lot. - Michael Michael had no intention of taking Brooke to those award shows but she asked to go and he wouldn’t say no. - LaToya Brooke is a nice girl but she’s not Elizabeth Taylor. That’s the kind of lady I want to be seen with. - Michael Miss Shields had visited my parent’s home and asked him to escort her. Michael looked to me for advice but Michael ended up with her, even though he knew that career wise it wouldn’t be a good move. His fans don’t like to see Michael with a girl because they’re all hoping he likes them. - LaToya I joked with him that he probably would have gotten even more nominations if he had put me in the video instead of the girl he chose. He just got this mischievous smile on his face that I had seen so many times before and said,”Oh Brooke!” - Brooke He’s a very very good friend of mine and I trust him and he trusts me and we have a very very good understanding. I mean, I don’t want anything from him, I don’t need publicity and that’s why I’m seen with him. I like him very very much and I think that he felt comfortable that I was there at the Grammy Awards because he’d come back and he’d sit down with me and say, ‘Was that OK? Did I do all right?’” - Brooke Michael is having an affair with Brooke Shields and sees her a lot. Every time I talk to him about her he smiles and seems to be very, very happy. I keep saying to him ”Do I hear wedding bells, Michael?” and he breaks into a big grin. - Jermaine Jackson I was pretending to be him and we were dancing and he said to me, “you know I like it when – when girls sort of take – take control of the situation and act really tough.’ And I said, ‘I don’t quite understand’ and he said, ‘Well, I like them to be you know feminine, especially in the videos, but at the same time strong.’ - Brooke Michael told me that Brooke Shields was the most aggressive girl he’d met in his life. After being out with her, he’d come to me and say things like, “She tried to kiss me. She tried to stick her tongue down my throat.” - LaToya We had one encounter when she got real intimate and I chickened out. And I shouldn’t have. - Michael I don’t think it would be fair to answer [for Michael] to say if we slept together. If he wanted to say anything before, he could have. - Brooke
As he grew older and the more he started to change physically, the more asexual he became to me. - Brooke As I grew up and started having boyfriends, I would share with him, and he was like a little kid who talked about the bases- what first base was, what second base was. - Brooke It’s hard to trivialize and say whether it’s platonic or not platonic. - Brooke He is a mystery. He’s almost a mystery even if you know personally… he’s very shy… he enjoys being a mystery. - Brooke Well, let me say that right now, we’re closer now, than we ever were. We love each other more now than when we even knew we did when we were younger. Because we had fun when we were younger, it was a sense of relief. - Brooke I think we both had a crush – and still do have a crush on each other. I mean, I think part of having a crush on someone is admiring them – almost, we have a lot of fun together; it’s almost unfortunate because we know each other so well. I mean, he just amazes me every time I sit down and talk to him. - Brooke
It’s like love on a different level. I feel closer to him than some of the boyfriends that I’ve had. - Brooke He is as beautiful inside as he is talented, so thoughtful and genuine. It’s unfortunate for him because he doesn’t get to go out as much and he doesn’t have a group of friends his own age. - Brooke She is very sweet, smart. She is not an airhead. She is real smart. A lot of people think that when someone is beautiful that are like an airhead. She is very smart. - Michael I could see he and Brooke Shields were very close friends. - Celine Dion Brooke Shields used to call him on the phone a lot. This was the pre-cell phone era, so I would usually answer his calls and then have to go find him in the studio. She was always really nice to me. - Sam L Parity Well, right now I’m dating Brooke Shields. Well, we try not to be everywhere, go everywhere, it’s mostly at home, she’ll come over, I’ll go to her house, because I don’t like going out in public. - Michael We’re just friends. He didn’t refer to me as a girlfriend. He felt he could say how he felt about me. We grew up together. He trusts me. - Brooke You couldn’t call it typical dating. He is such a gentleman. He speaks so honestly and purely. But our relationship is not a romance. - Brooke Michael was there with Brooke Shields, who he was dating at the time. It was trippy and the studio was dimly lit. I shook hands with them both and played. Then they split, and went off to dinner. - Slash He lied a little bit on the question about who he is dating. I think there is nothing more than a true friendship with the actress Brooke Shields. - MJ’s bodyguard on DWT He gave me the most incredibly beautiful ring that you could ever imagine. Of course, people built that out of proportion, they said we were engaged. It really wasn’t really about that, it was a friendship ring. When he gave it to me, it was the most adorable thing; we hadn’t really ever exchanged gifts before. - Brooke He never actually formally proposed to me, though. He would sort of say, “Why don’t we adopt a child together? The way your heart works is what I want in my life,” and I said to him, “You’re always going to have my heart.” - Brooke Another love was Brooke Shields. We were romantically serious for a while. - Michael He was one of my greatest love affairs. He stopped returning my calls. It’s too bad, he’s a wonderful person. - Brooke
We are always tracking each other down. Whenever I go to another country or star a film I make sure his office knows where I am and vice versa – so we know that, somewhere in the world, there’s a friend. - Brooke Now I have no more contact with him at all. It’s been a very long time since we last met. - Brooke I had not only not spoken to him, I hadn’t seen him in years. - Brooke At every major event in my life, he reached out to me, whether if it was when my dad died, when I had my first daughter, and had severe post-partum, we’d speak. - Brooke

DEBBIE ROWE
I go ‘Hi’. And he goes ‘Hi,’ and I said, ‘You know what? Nobody does what you do better, and nobody does what I do better. Let’s get this over with.’ And he laughed, and we just became friends. It was just right away. - Debbie (Michael spoke to me about her) sometimes. Not exactly (in a way that made me believe he was in love with her or would marry her). - Katherine Jackson I think that she loves him very much. She admired him very much. - Arnold Klein I wrote ‘Remember the Time’ when Michael {Jackson} told me about falling in love with {Debbie Rowe}, the woman he just married. I don’t know why he didn’t marry her the first time around. - Teddy Riley She has been so enamored and in love with Michael her entire life. She is a nice girl. - Brian Oxman When he went into the rehab, I remember that Debbie was so, so relieved. When Michael got out of rehab he started dating Lisa Marie. But he never stopped seeing Debbie, even after he married Lisa Marie. - Tonya Boyd She cared about him, would be up all night long on the phone with him. She said he was best on the phone…. she said, “He’s unique, kinky, actually. - Tonya Boyd I know when Michael was addicted, Debbie stayed on the telephone for hours and hours, pleading with him to save himself. She told me that she said: “If you die, I will be crushed. I wouldn’t be able to survive it. You are my very life.” - Tonya Boyd He’d call and say, ‘Hi what are you doing? Do you want to get a video?’ We’d sneak out without security. We got caught. I thought, ‘Oh my God! This is like a Beatles film. We’re getting chased by people. We’d go out and do stuff, sneak him into premieres and things… yeah, we had a good time, we had a good time. - Debbie But it was true, just the same: Michael was seeing Debbie Rowe while he was married to Lisa. Lisa knew it. At one point, she and Debbie had a tense telephone conversation during which Lisa said: “Look, nursey. I’m sorry that you’re in love with my husband. But he’s mine. So get lost.” - Monica Pastelle [Debbie and I] soon had to leave cuz Lisa Marie was on her way. She was in that video and well, it was time to go. - Tonya Boyd I knew he wanted a family, so one day a few years ago I said to him: “Michael, I’ll give you the baby you want.” He said no. He said he wanted a traditional family. So he married Lisa Marie. When that broke up, when she left him, I said “I’m serious, I’ll give you the baby you want.” - Debbie One day she starts telling me she was planning on having him a baby! She told me this way before she was ever pregnant. - Tonya Boyd Well, I said, I said, you know, my offer still stands… I said if you want to be a daddy…I want to do it. - Debbie And I knew Debbie Rowe was offering to do it for him while we were married, according to him. She was a nurse who had a crush on him and offered to have his babies. - Lisa Marie We started by fooling around a bit and the next thing we knew we were doing it. We knew we were going to try for a baby. - Debbie Michael and I do have sex. We get it on. - Debbie This is a natural conception. Debbie finds it amazing that people won’t believe that. She told me two years ago, “Michael likes girls.” - Tonya Boyd She said it was natural, and I believe her. - Mary Colandro I think they did have sex. I really do, and I can’t guarantee that. I think they did have sex in their relationship. - Arnold Klein I know that they had sex together. That’s what she told me. That Debbie had sex with Michael… I have no doubt. I wasn’t in the bedroom. But I have no doubt that when she would tell me her — these little things about their private life — that it would… - Iris Finsilver
I can’t wait to see him again. We’re going to stay all day and night in bed – I can’t wait. - Debbie They had relations together. You betcha they did. - Brian Oxman Yes, I had sex with Debbie. - Michael Sleeping with Michael was the weirdest experience of my life. I once had to pretend I was a peasant girl at his ranch while he put on a suit of armor and conquered me. Michael was an incredible lover who left me exhausted. - Debbie We’ll take suites with two rooms. I need my space. When I need to sleep, I need to sleep. He’ll stay up until 4 am pacing, thinking. Sometimes he’ll come up to me in the middle of the night when I’m asleep and stick things in my nose or my ear and wake me up. Sometimes I wake up and I won’t hear him and I’ll be in a panic. When I realise he’s asleep, I go into his room and climb into bed with him because than we can sleep together. - Debbie One of the best things to do is… what I think… When you love someone… don’t you ever wake up in the middle of the night and just look at ’em? And see the beauty. I mean that’s… peace. That’s… calm. That’s, that’s how that person is. You know you don’t see the stress of the day or what’s going on, you know. And I could sit and stare at him for hours. ‘Cause it was calm. - Debbie At the time when the story broke, Debbie was supposed to meet him in Australia. She presumed that the trip would be off, that Michael would be so upset about what had happened that he would refuse to see her. She cried a lot that day. - Tony Boyd We call it investigative journalism. She really is Michael Jackson’s best friend. Theirs is a brotherly-sisterly love. She didn’t do this for monetary gain, but monetary gain will result. She made it clear her role is to deliver (the baby) to Jackson after three to four weeks. It will be looked after by two nannies hired by Jackson. - Stuart White I picked up the telephone, hoping it was Michael calling for Debbie from Australia, and this woman said: “Would you please put Miss Rowe on the phone?” ‘I thought it was a reporter, so I said: “She’s not here.” And the woman said: “Well this is Michael Jackson’s mother. I simply must find her.” Immediately handed Debbie the phone. - Tonya Boyd Debbie is a nurse who loves her work, who loves taking care of people. Every day she wants to get up and look after others, to help them and make them better. That’s why I love her, and that’s what gives her bliss in life, God bless her. - Michael There’s different Michaels. There’s, like, my Michael. And the Michael that everyone else sees. - Debbie We have the most conventional marriage two uncoventional people can have. - Debbie I haven’t abandoned him, a lot of people think I’ve abandoned him, I haven’t abandoned him. I haven’t abandoned my husband. I’m there, it’s not like I’m that far away. I can be there in 13 hours. - Debbie Sure, and I miss Michael a lot too. But, I don’t feel like I have to be there, I don’t think being there 24 hours a day makes a better relationship - Debbie It’s very hard. We haven’t been able to spend time as a family. Not at all. - Michael I’m really independent, and Michael understands that, and I’m really fortunate to have a husband who does understand that. Who knows that I need to work, and I need to have my own self. Because he is so big, and he is so Michael. I don’t need to live with him 24 hours a day. And he’s working right now. And when he comes home we’ll have time, and we’ll be together more. - Debbie Michael consistently told me that it was Debbie Rowe’s wish not to be involved with the children. The impression he gave me was that he felt it was better for the kids not to have their mother in their lives if such involvement was not voluntary. - Schmuley They’re adults. Say what you want, have any judgment you like about it, but it’s their life, and they get to live it whatever way they choose. - Tonya Boyd I heard Debbie’s doing good, she’s fine. Paris is strong like Debbie. -Michael As Mr. Jackson knows, no one can tell me what to say. - Debbie We are a family unit. Michael and I will always be connected with the kids. I will always be there for him. I will always be there for the children. And people make remarks, oh, I can’t believe she left her children. Left them? I left my children? I did not leave my children. My children are with their father where they’re supposed to be - Debbie

SHANA MANGATAL
I recall the many appearances he made in DC (such as the Jackson’s Reunion Tour and others) she would literally bother us to take her to the hotel to join the many fans who were camped outside showing their support to the Jackson’s. What was so amazing and what makes me believe this was a bond, Jermaine Jackson was walking into the hotel and somehow he saw my sister and brought her inside to receive an autograph from Michael Jackson and the Jackson’s. - Todd Mangatal I even remember her saying she was going to marry Michael, yes to me this sound like an obsessed fan, but again, I think it was more than that, it was destiny for her to have the opportunity to meet and know the star she adored. - Todd Mangatal About a year after arriving in LA she got a great job with a major talent management company, and who their biggest client turned out to be was Michael Jackson, so she had the opportunity to get to know the star she idolized from childhood. - Todd Mangatal So, she plans on doing something about the accusations by telling the truth of what she knows about her good friend. - Todd Mangatal It was a close personal relationship. I don’t want to go into detail about it but yes it was intimate. - Shana Michael would kill me if I said that (we had sex), I refuse to discuss those details. But I will say that he’s a normal man, he’s a red blooded man. He’s very flirtatious, he loves women. - Shana No, as a matter of fact I’m scared he’s gonna be angry that I’m finally coming forward. I’ve sat back for ten years and not said a word during all the other allegations going on. - Shana He was the love of my life. When you look at him, you don’t see the freakish appearance that comes through in pictures. I see his heart. - Shana Shana told me that in the time she knew Michael he married Lisa Marie Presley and it devastated her. But when he got back from his Honeymoon he apologized. - ET At the end of the day she did spend a little time with Michael, who expressed his appreciation to her for “being there for him”, for her help with the event and it’s success, and most importantly for all her support. - Todd Mangatal Michael and I used to talk about show biz alot. He gave me alot of advice. He knew I wanted to be an actress, so he put me in Is This Scary and Ghosts. I’ll always be grateful to him for that. - Shana He did not want me to do it. Sometimes he didnt know what was best for himself though! Thankfully, after I did it he thanked me (although he asked me not to do any more interviews..lol!) - Shana The most touching moment for me was when Rebbie spotted me. She came over to me and gave me a big hug. She thanked me for being there for her brother and told me she had heard so many good things about me. That meant so much to me and I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for Rebbie. - Shana The last time I saw him, the first thing he mentioned was how much fun we had filming this [Ghosts]! - Shana I supported MJ on ET in 2003, because the situation was dire and he needed someone to speak up and say something positive. He was my friend and I will always stand by him through thick and thin. - Shana Everything I have ever said or written here on FB is the 100% TRUTH. - Shana After reviewing the matter for some months now, I have found no evidence that Shana Mangatal was Michael Jackson’s secret girlfriend. I will retract everything I said about this matter. - Firpo Carr The “evidence,” given to me by a very credible source, lead to a deadend; and, yes, I do believe I was mislead. - Firpo Carr Shana responded by making a heartfelt personal appeal to reconsider the retraction. She asked that I just leave things as they are. - Firpo Carr Lisa did a FANTASTIC job in articulating exactly how it felt. The interview was great. I was in tears through the whole thing. I completely relate, and I understand. - Shana

Princess Diana
THE STORIES HIGHLIGHTED IN RED ARE THE ONES THAT HAVE MOST RECENTLY BEEN ADDED.
1988 News Story on Them Meeting Clip Of Them Meeting Part 1 Clip Of Them Meeting Part 2 Clip Of Them Meeting Part 3 Barbara Walters, September 1997
Bad Tour, Wembley London, July 16, 1988 Prince Charles & Princess Diana attend the third Wembley concert. Michael meets the Royal couple backstage to present them with a £150 000 cheque to the Prince’s Trust and another £100 000 cheque to the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital. Spokesman Review 18th July 1988
At London’s Wembley Stadium last weekend, Michael Jackson sang “Dirty Diana” a song about a nasty groupie. Princess Diana, meanwhile, took no offense. She even smiled.
Jackson had been expected to leave the song out because of the princess’ presence, but an aide said the singer “felt the fans would feel let down.” “I was so excited at meeting the royal couple,” Jackson said. “I am very, very happy that they have come to watch me perform. I thought the princess was just wonderful.” Prince Charles, always the quipster, asked Jackson how he learned to dance so well, and joked, “Could you teach me to dance?” Jul 18, 1988 Princess Diana met her favorite pop star Saturday, and after their meeting before his third sold-out performance at Wembley Stadium, Michael Jackson pronounced her “just wonderful.” Minutes before he was due on stage, Jackson met the met Prince and Princess of Wales in the stadium’s banquet hall. With concert sponsor Pepsi, Jackson handed over $450000 to the Prince’s Trust, a charity for disadvantaged children, and spoke with the royal couple for a few minutes. “How did you learn to dance so well?” asked Charles. “Could you teach me to dance?” Jackson presented Diana with two Bad tour jackets for her child princes, William , 6, and Harry, 3, and asked why they weren’t at the concert. In his familiar silver-studded black jacket and trousers, Jackson later said, “I was so excited at meeting the royal couple.I’m very, very happy that they came to watch me perform.” Diana, wearing a bright golden yellow silk dress with box shoulders, said “Michael’s my favorite pop star, but I’m not so sure about my husband.” Inside the stadium, the crowd cheered and whistled as the royal couple appeared. Jackson began the performance by saying. “I’d like to welcome our royal guests,” then shouted, “How’re ya doin’” as he looked over to their box. Diana seemed to be in heaven as she clapped and swayed to Thriller, Billie Jean and Bad, but Dirty Diana – now topping the British – now topping the British charts – was the song that excited her most and she jumped up and down to the rhythm. Charles, however, shifted uneasily in his seat during the song. SPECIAL: PRINCESS DIANA, 1961-1997 The couple’s July 16 turnout to see Michael Jackson at Wembley Stadium gives some credence to that view. The two laughed and smiled throughout the concert, and Diana was even spotted whispering in Charles’s ear during Jackson’s rendition of Dirty Diana. At one point the prince actually got to his feet and swayed to the beat — a remarkable feat for a known rock dud. From his stay in Rehab in the UK, November, 1993 Jackson is actually a bright and intelligent person. He is very interested in our Royal family and he asked me lots of questions about them and said how much he likes Princess Diana. 1994, “We were very close, especially over the phone. I was married then to Lisa-Marie. Diana used to call me and wake me up in the middle of the night-it would be maybe three in the morning in Los Angeles when she rang.” “She talked mostly about her children and about the press. Lisa-Marie used to get so jealous she would go into the another room, pick up the receiver and listen in. I used to say: ‘Diana, these phone calls in the middle of the night… you are ruining my marriage!’” Diana visiting patients in hospital, Diana: The Portrait, 1995 After the initia; visit, Diana came to see Danielle often. “She’d bring me flowers and sometimes she lent me videos to make my stay less boring. She lent me Annie, which she said was hers and The Mask and a Michael Jackson video that belonged to Harry and William.” Reading Eagle, September 1st, 1997 Pop Superstar Michael Jackson will pay a special tribute to Princess Diana today at a concert in the Belgian coastal resort of Ostend, the concert promoters said. Jackson, an acquaintance of the princess, called off the original show on Sunday after he learned Diana and her companion Dodi Al Fayed had been killed in a high speed car crash in Paris. “Michael Jackson will dedicate the concert to Diana, Princess of Wales,” promoters Make It Happen said. “It will be a tribute to Diana.” A spokesman said Jackson, who is based in Paris for the European leg of his HIStory World Tour, had been sick with grief when he heard the news – and had a doctor’s note to prove it. However, his personal publicist told Reuters there was no truth in press speculation Jackson had dined with the pair at the Ritz hotel just before the fatal crash. She said she was unaware what form the tribute to the Princess would take. Dedicates Belgium concert to her, September 4th, 1997 Michael Jackson dedicated a concert in Belgium Wednesday to Princess Diana, whose death prompted him to cancel his scheduled Sunday show. Minutes before the concert began in front of more than 60,000 people at Ostend racecourse, says Reuters, two 21-foot-high pictures of the princess wearing a tiara lit up on either side of the giant stage. The crowd applauded, held lighters above their heads and swayed to a recording of the pop star’s “Smile.” It is not known whether Jackson will attend Diana’s funeral Saturday. He has another concert near Madrid that day. Memorial in Los Angeles for the Princess, September 14, 1997
In everything from blue jeans to haute couture, more than 1,000 people, including singer Michael Jackson, filled a church Saturday to pay their respects to Princess Diana. Jackson said he attended “in honor of my friend, who is no longer here. I love her.” Dressed in black and wearing a black fedora and red arm band, Jackson was attended by an entourage of bodyguards. Interview With Barbara Walters, September 1997 Barbara: Up until last week the most photographed people in the world were Princess Diana and Michael Jackson. Now only one remains to talk about what it means to live under that kind of scrutiny. Michael Jackson himself is notoriously shy about giveing interviews, but on my way home from covering Princess Diana’s funeral, I met with him in Paris to discuss the paparazzi and his personal recollections of the Princess. When it comes to the paparazzi, Michael Jackson says he feels a bond with Princess Diana. The paparazzi have been a part of his life since he was a small child, the youngest of the Jackson 5. He has been a superstar for 3 decades. At 39, he continues to sing and dance all over the world and the paparazzi follow him all over the world. He has been on a European Tour for the last five months playing for over 2 million people. The night Princess Diana died, Michael Jackson cancelled his concert, but his last two concerts were dedicated to her. He does not pretend that she was a close friend. She was a fan. Michael: I met her first at a…um (clearing his throat) …concert…in London. She was very kind, very loving, very sweet. Barbara: What did you two talk about? Michael: I wrote a song called “Dirty Diana”. It was not about Lady Diana. It was about a certain kind of girls that hang around concerts or clubs, you know, they call them groupies. Barbara: Groupies. Michael: I’ve lived with that all my life. These girls…they do everything with the band, you know, everything you could imagine. So I wrote a song called “Dirty Diana”. But I took it out of the show in honour of her royal highness. She took me away and she said, “Are you going to do ‘Dirty Diana’?” So, I said, “No I took it out of the show because of you.” She said, “No! I want you to do it…do it…do the song.” Barbara: So she had a sense of humor with you? Michael: Yeah, of course. And she told me it was an honour to meet me. And I said, “It’s an honour to meet you.” Barbara: How did you hear of her death? Michael: Um…I woke up (in a quiet and reflective voice) and my doctor gave me the news. And I fell back down in grief, and I started to cry. The pain…I felt inner pain, in my stomach, and in my chest. (his voice starts to break slightly) So, I said, “I can’t handle this…it’s too much.” Just the message and the fact that I knew her personally. Then on top of that one I said, “There’s another one…real soon…I feel it coming…there’s another one….it’s another one coming and I pray it’s not me…please don’t let it be me.” And then Mother Theresa came… Barbara: Because the press also has to look into things, be tough. It can’t always be kind. Michael: (laughs) What you saw…what happened to Lady Diana…you tell me. There should be some boundaries, some kind of way. The star needs some space. Some time to relax. He has a heart…he’s human. Barbara: You cancelled the concert you were about to do when you heard of Diana’s death. Michael: Yes. Barbara: And when you finally did a concert, you dedicated it to her. What did you say? Michael: In my heart I was saying, “I love you Diana. Shine. And shine on forever, because you are the true Princess of the people.” And in words I did not say it, but I said it for three minutes in showing a big picture on the jumbotron screens…Sony, big huge screens…and her picture was there shining…and the crowd went bananas (makes sound effects of the crowd’s noises) And I played the song “Smile” and “Gone Too Soon”. Barbara: Give us some of the lyrics, if you can. Michael: “Shiny and sparkly, and splendedly bright, here one day, gone one night…Gone too soon.” Daily Record, Dec 18, 1997 Michael Jackson is so obsessed with the memory of Princess Diana that he spends hours talking to a lifesize wax model of her, according to a new book. “Making HIStory,” Adrian Grant, May 1998 Do you feel a connection with the late Princess Diana, given that many of your songs on the History album talk about your personal torment and persecution from others? Yes I do, very much. I think I understood her. In the moments that we had, that were very intimate and personal, we talked on such subjects. I think it’s a tragic, tragic loss. I feel that people like myself and other artists should carry the torch of what her mission was and I think I have that understanding – it’s what I do, and am willing to do. I thought she was brilliant. Do you feel that the song Tabloid Junkie highlights all the tragic circumstances in which Princess Diana died? Yes the tabloids are a bunch of trash. I think there should be a way to destroy them. We should create a big burning, like in stadiums around the world – pile them all together. You remember how they used to do to disco records, and just create a burning, to make people aware. They hunt you, it’s terrible. It creates such ugliness, they never think about how the person feels about what they write. Michael, The Daily Mirror, April 13, 1999 Michael spoke of his friendship with Princess Diana: I had a concert on the day the news broke and my doctor woke me up to tell me Diana was dead. I literally collapsed, I fainted. He had to give me smelling salts to revive me and I cancelled my show because I simply could not perform. I just broke down. I wept and wept for weeks afterward. Through his friendship with Diana, Michael also came to know Dodi Fayed and spoke of the couple: They were a match made in heaven. I thought they were so beautiful together. It was lovely to see them like that. Diana was a wonderful person with a good heart. She went round the world as a philanthropist just like Mother Theresa. She proved that she really, really cared about people and children, especially the way that I do. She used to confide in me. She’d just call me on the phone and we would talk about everything that was happening in her life. The press were hard on her in the same way they were hard on me and she needed to talk to someone who knew exactly what she was going through. She felt hunted in the way I’ve felt hunted; trapped, if you like. You can’t talk about that to your neighbour, because how would they ever understand? No normal person could possibly understand, could they? I’ve had that attention since I was a kid, whereas Diana had it suddenly thrust upon her at the age of 19. I’ve had it all my life so I had the experience to tell her how to handle it. I just said to her, “Rise above it all.” I’d tell her how I would go onstage sometimes in the worst pain either emotionally or physically, with something like a tooth ache, and I would put whatever it was out of my mind and perform. I’d say, “Be strong and be determined and nobody can hurt you. Only you can hurt yourself – so be defiant.” I think she appreciated it and got something from my words. I think I was able to comfort her. I adored Diana. We talked so many times, much more than people realized. When I heard about the paparazzi chasing her, I just thought how lucky I was that it had never happened to me, because I’ve been chased the same way so many times, and you always wonder. Diana’s death was the saddest I’ve ever felt – it reminded me of when Kennedy died. It broke my heart so much, I just cried and cried. [Dodi] was wonderful, just wonderful. A really smart, charming guy. It was a terrible tragedy for Mohammed and my heart goes out to him and his family. Diana desperately wanted me to meet her children and we talked about it many times, but I never did get the chance. Mohammed talks very highly of the boys. He says they are wonderful and he had some good times on holiday with them and Diana. It would be nice to meet them sometime.” Schmuley Tapes, 2000/1 Sb: What if you found a woman you was soft, who was incredibly soft? MJ: Like a Mother Teresa or a Lady Diana or… That would be great. That would be perfect. MJ: A woman I really liked and respected was Princess Diana. SB: Why? MJ: Because she was classy and sincerely cared about people and children and the plight of what was going on in the world. She didn’t do it for show. I like the way she made her kids wait in line to get on a ride for something. SB: Can we say that there was an ever so innocent slight romantic attraction? Or do you not want to say that? Do you just want to say that you thought she was a very special? She was a feminine kind of woman? MJ: Very feminine and classy. She was my type for sure, and I don’t like most girls. There are very few I like who fit the mold. It takes a very special mold to make me happy and she was on of them. For sure. SB: Because of her love of kids? MJ: It takes a lot to find a mirror image, a mirror image. People always say that opposites attract and I think that is true, as well. But I want somebody who is a lot like me, who has the same interests and who wants to help and they gotta go to hospitals with me and care about Gavin. That’s why you saw LMP and me at those kind of things. She cared about stuff, too. SB: Did you ever think of asking Princess Diana out? MJ: Absolutely SB: So why didn’t you have the never to ask her? MJ: I never aksed a girl out in my life. The have to ask me. SB: Really? MJ: I can’t ask a girl out. SB: If she would have asked you out? MJ: Absolutely. I would have gone. SB: But what happened to [Princess] Diana, that was a great tragedy, Michael. MJ: That was a great tragedy. That killed me. That killed everybody, I think. News of The World, 4th of November 2001 Jackson, 43, asked to speak to the News of the World through his psychic best friend Uri Geller! Our associate editor Phil Taylor and Uri, the world-famous author, paranormalist and psychic conducted the interview by phone from Uri’s Berkshire mansion. This is what Jackson had to say… Jackson: I think a lot of what is going on is Biblically prophesied. But God promises he will not let man destroy the earth. That man will try, but he will not let them do it. NoW: How much do you think America changed after the terrorist attack on September 11?
Jackson: People have never been so close in this country. Everybody has flags up everywhere. They speak again to each other. They say hello. They’re hugging. It’s like we’ve gone back to the 1930s or something. NoW: How did you feel when the terrorists attacked New York?
Jackson: I felt my world end. I felt such grief. I cried and I cried. The conversation eventually turns to his album. NoW: You’ve written a song called Privacy On Invincible. Is it about Princess Diana? Jackson: Oh boy! Y’know…we shared the same life. We shared the same pain. And that’s what we could talk about on the phone. We were like two caged animals. We could talk about it. And that was our therapy-speaking to each other. NoW: What was the most memorable thing Diana ever told you? Jackson: To continue the work I’m doing to help the children. And whatever I do, don’t stop. To continue to love and to travel and to go to the hospitals. That was her favourite thing about me-how much I loved them, sincerely, from the heart. NoW: Did you love Princess Diana?
Jackson: I’m crazy about her. I adored her. NoW: Would you have married Princess Diana if you’d had the chance? Jackson: Yes! Yes! NoW: Did you ever propose to her? Jackson: Uhmm. There was some talk between us. NoW: So did you have a chance to ask Diana to marry you? Jackson: Er…oohh. NoW: Come on, Michael. The whole world wants to know. Jackson: We talked in that area. I will say that much. I think we lost a precious jewel when she died. We lost the heart of the world. It was like when we lost Mother Teresa. The world isn’t the same place any more. Michael Narrating Private Home Movies, April 2003 (Caption: The Private Princess) MJ: Lady Diana, um, in real truth, was one of the sweetest people I’ve ever known, because, um, we could relate to each other, we shared something in common, with the press. I don’t think they hounded anyone more than her and myself. And we had a relationship, a very good relationship, where we would call each other, er, late at night, for me, er, and we would, you know, just talk about… just like cry on each other’s shoulders, how hard and difficult and how mean the tabloids can be. And how they lie and twist stories around. Um, but she came to… (Clip of concert scene, playing to Billie Jean) MJ: Wembley Stadium in London and er, you know, they do, when the royal family comes and you have to line up and you meet the family and everything. (Clip of the line before the concert) MJ: But at some point, she called me away from the line and um… (Michael shaking hands with Prince Charles and then Princess Diana) MJ: I saw Prince Charles looking at me and I said, oh boy. She said, I wanna talk to you! So I said, yeah, what’s, what’s happening? (Michael and Princess Diana talking) MJ: She said, are you gonna do Dirty Diana tonight? I said, no, no, I took it out of the show, out of respect for you! She said, that’s my favorite song! (Dirty Diana video plays) MJ: I said, are you serious? I said, I took it out of respect ’cause I… Dirty Diana and you’re sitting in the audience? (Diana and Charles taking their seats) MJ: So at that point, I couldn’t, I couldn’t put it back in the show, because it was too close to show time. So um, I remember, um, Prince Charles leaving the line… (Back to scene of the line) MJ: … walking over to us and he said, what are you talking about? And she said, oh, nothing. Like that. So that was that story. There’s a couple of other ones, but I don’t wanna, you know… (laughs), say too much. (Heal the World Intro plays to a scene of the three in front of a large group) MJ: She was just a wonderful, warm, compassionate, er, person… very caring, very caring. It was real. It wasn’t a publicity… stunt. It was real. (Princess Diana bending down to a child) MJ: She really cared. I’m the same way. If feel the same way that she does about children and the future of our children and the future of the world. Paul Burrell (Princess’ Butler), “The Way We Were,” pp.111-112, Sept 2006 One star who fascinated the princess was Michael Jackson, as much for his upbringing and personality struggles as his talent. She endlessly played Thriller and Bad, thought he was “absolutely amazing” and longed to meet him. The opportunity arose in 1988 when he came to Wembley on his Bad tour, and she invited Maria, with another dresser, to watch the concert with her and meet him backstage. She returned to KP with a selection of tour memorabilia for William and Harry: Bad baseball caps, jackets, T-shirts, pens. You name it, she’d been given it. The next morning, after I’d heard from Maria what a brilliant time they had all had, the princess sat down to breakfast. If ever mystique was shattered by a personal meeting, this was it. “It looked like his nose was about to drop off! The amount of surgery he’s had!” she said, and she was surprised by how effeminate he was. But, she said, she loved him for his music not his looks, and it had been a ‘thrill’ to meet the man who made the music that filled KP until the day she died. [..] The jury only needed to conclude that one item had been dishonestly in my possession to be sure of my guilt. The prosecutor William Boyce explained that such a collection of royal items was something “someone just should keep and should not have.Burrell’s varying explanations are not consistent…Pause to consider the potential value of one autographed CD …” I wanted to scream. I had far more potentially valuable items in my house than a Michael Jackson or Tina Turner album that the princess had signed-she always labeled them hers;it was a habit from her childhood. Prince William Talking About the Princess Diana Memorial Concerts, June 16, 2007 And your mother was obviously a huge music fan but what artists did she actually really listened to and liked? We know that she was friend with Elton John and George Michael, but who did she really liked listening to? Prince William: She loved exactly the kind of people who are coming, really. Sir Elton, George Michael… She loved Supertramp…She loved Michael Jackson… Tina Turner, Bryan Adams. We used to catch her dancing to her music – we’d walk out the room rather embarrassed that our mother was just dancing around. It was a big release for her and she had many artists that she loved listening to. 28 June, 2009 As the undisputed King of Pop, Michael Jackson was constantly feted by the great and the good. Royalty, movie stars and statesmen were dazzled by his talent, bewitched by his music and desperate to be his friend. But, as a natural recluse, Michael leaned on a close-knit group of A-list confidantes. He was especially close to Princess Diana. They first met at a Wembley gig in 1988 when he handed her black Bad tour jackets for Princes William and Harry. At the time of Diana’s death in 1997 Jackson was spending thousands a month on phone calls to her. He said: “We would talk about everything that was happening in her life. She needed to talk to someone who knew exactly what she was going through.” Details of the book Enid Jackson, Jackie’s ex-wife, was writing, 30 June, 2009

According to these conversations MJ was seeing a girl called “Melissa” during the Dangerous World Tour rehearsals in June 1992. She was a co-ordinator, model and “does all kinds of things” but for some reason didn’t end up going on the DWT with him. Conversations take place during Dangerous World Tour rehearsals, June 1992 Glenda Transcript 4.5

I said I know I can trust her, I dont have any bad feelings I told you that… G: Did you ever tell Kathy?… M: No I haven’t…please… believe me now… G: Eh, Alright.. it just blows me away because you guys have known each other for such a long time and she’s so devoted to you.. M: Well you know its not like I tell everyone that I’ve known for a long time…Kathy and I haven’t spoken and stuff since all that stuff with my brothers was going on I will tell her… you know.. when I feel like talking… I just don’t want to now I mean I know a lot of ppl.. .and..I dont think (i) not that Kathy would do anything to betray me…but anyway.. when she was talkin she goes..well I know your situation, I had a towel on my head and I got a surgical mask …all that.. I could never see you again.. or something should happen and I’m really worried about that and I just wanna be with you..you know, one to one.. with out the gang being around..its just its important to me.. to be with you I dont care I just want to spend time with you… G: Go on..! M: Ya know that’s what she said…. like it doesn’t matter, no matter what ya know… she told me that she’s afraid she’s going to lose me as a friend or whatever, she’s afraid she’s not going to see me G: But she must care for you. M: Yeah, I know she does. G: So what are you gonna do? M: Well.. I’m gonna, I’m gonna be with her…hold on.. (i) G: Okay M: And she said well I want whats best for you! I said damnit! let me make my own mistakes!..If it’s a mistake fine, if its not fine.. but just… G: How come people are so protective of you, Michael? You have a lot of people who really love you..and want whats best for you, you’re not alone. M: It doesn’t matter, I (i) my own choices and my own decisions. G: Tell me something, you know what? you told me before that you’re the loneliest person M: I am! G: Then how can you be that way when there are so many people… M: Because I don’t love those people like that! I want to be with someone…I want to know what a relationship is all about before I die, cant you understand that girl?… I never had.. I mean I’ve been with Tate.. I’ve been, well not with.. I been with Tate..I thought I was with Diana.. it was just in my own mind.. G: You were a little boy.. M: I know, I have never had a real relationship, my brothers have been married… My brothers have had girlfriends I really haven’t had that…. G: How long did it take you to get over Diana? M: Years…… A hell of a long time..I just .. wanna know what its like girl…. to have a real relationship with someone who doesn’t want me for me…. that I dont, I dont’ have to look over my shoulder all the time… G: Who doesn’t have an ulterior motive..? M: Yeah, that doesn’t question me.. I mean..(i) I dont… and, and.. like La Toya said in her book.. she said, either I am going to have to find somebody who doesn’t know who the heck I am.. o rrr..oorr deal with somebody whos career is equally as important, or equally like mine.. G: Well.. a nix to both of those……. M: What am I gonna do.. I dont want to die without knowing about ..having a real relationship with a women or being involved.. I .. I was involved but we never did anything.. we never really had sex… G: But that was your decision, that wasn’t her’s I mean M: But.. ya.. but girl, girlfriend had my nose wide open… ok, you could drive a truck through my nose… G: Laughs…That is the craziest expression. How did they come up with that… I am just wondering who thought of it.. I don’t understand how your nose can be wide open M: I don’t know G: But it had to come from somewhere and I just wanted to the people who made it up. G- It’s the craziest expression I have ever heard M: it’s a black thing G- Laughing..Black thing? What is it with your nose? I can’t understand how your nose can be wide open? M-I don’t know..(whispers–It’s just, it’s personal) G-I mean it had to come from somewhere. Somebody had to have made it up and I was wondering what they were thinking when they made it up? M-It’s a black secret G-OK Laughing M-So I loved her so much..GOD G-So was that the first time.. M- No, no (whispers) (it was ??) G-Where did Tatum and that..what was that other girls.. M-Tate..I dealt with Tate when I was a little bit younger..She came up to me in a club..we were in a club..(I) and she put her hand on mind and I couldn’t believe it (break in tape){This is obvious the poster of these audios was throwing us off. They skip from talking about Tatum O’Neal to this woman)…Glenda laughing..Now they are talking about someone else M-…anything. I would give her money, I would give her jewlery, I would give her a house, a car, whatever.. I was never good enough. It was like…ya know.. G-Well she wanted all of you Michael..she wanted a relationship M-She knew how I was from the beginning..it wasn’t like she didn’t G-Well she was probably hoping then that it would change M-But, not until I got married G-Well I know that..and I’m sure that she loved you..and when you have been with somebody for that many years M-I loved her so much..I didn’t want to see that..I did not want to see that.and I knew she was fooling around..I know girl..I know it for a FACT G-Don’t you think that attracted you to the fact that she was such a strong person and she stood up for you against your dad and she was always there..wasn’t that alot of the attraction M-Yeh G Because she’s older than you huh? M-well yeah… G: That you were drawn to that. M: Yeh I was G: (I) M: And I was so in love and I had my nose wide open and I didn’t want to believe what was really going on. (Tape cut)..It didn’t matter..she (Tape cut) (I), but, that’s another story. (I) And it was a good thing that it was finally over. G: You don’t have any regrets? M: No, uh uh, I don’t regret that I didn’t sleep with her. I’m glad I didn’t. (I)…. G: Yeh that’s a long story. M: I didn’t. I wish it changed but I havent been married before, ever.. having a relationship like that before, I never …Being in a normal…having a relationship with someone (I) I never had that. G: Well, I think everybody wants too… M: But, I HAVEN’T G: OK M: And that’s what I want. I know I’m not going to be here very long or whatever. G: I hope it will be years.. M: What? G: How long do you think you will be here? M: You can’t ask me, I don’t know, what kind of question is that I don’t know G: (I) M: I don’t know…You could come up with all kind of actual facts and die! G: Do you think (I) Now? (I) M: Like Melissa told me today..and she was right… she said I want to see you I want to spend time with you before you leave.. I dont care.. what the circumstances are because she knows about my condition, she knows my situation now…. and shes like I don’t care whatever you want.. but I don’t know if I will ever see you again and stuff.. she was honest enough, she told me.. G: She sounds very nice. M: It doesn’t matter with her no matter what, ya know! G: She sounds very nice..She sounds very good. M: I don’t want to die not having a relationship like everybody else around me have had..I don’t want to die G: I know (I) M: But (whispers – she accepts me as I am?) G: That’s hard to find Michael. M: I don’t have time to wait. G: You’re pushing 34 my dear. Laughing M: Yeh and I have never had that. I’ve never had that kind of relationship. Why would I want (Tape cut). Everyone else I know have had it..But, I never have. G: Well, I guess it’s time you get it. M: I know it is. (Tape Cut)….I trashed her..Even though we had fallen in love. I ruin my own relationships. (It’s always about sex?) G: You do! M: Oh, I want that too. I don’t know how I’m gonna get it (I) G: You can’t get satisfaction in that relationship. M: Well, I won’t do it. (Tape cut) G: Cause it sounds like she doesn’t care for him that much M: Yeh (I) What? G: That will be very sad! (tape cut) M: don’t know what I’m gonna do (tape cut) G: I think it is important that you hold on to everything that you hold dear. M: What? G: I think that it is important that you hold on to everything that you hold dea M: (Tape cut) (I) I hold on until the last days G: (I)everything that you hold dear M: You know what. I don’t want it. G: Cause of that night? M: Yeh (I) and people and situations and stuff (tape cut) But, I’m sure about (I) G: You have alot of people that love you very much…you do… M: I have alot of people that don’t know what’s going on G: About you? (I) …have you told those people (I)…remember open doors. M: But with any (I) I have..some of it went (I)…. G: That’s good..That’s very good. Because I know you’ve been through a lot(I) Do you figure you’ll be able to do that?
